Must sees: Vermeer Windmill and Historical Village; be sure and take the windmill tour. Our guide was excellent. Jaarsma Bakery has delicious Dutch baked goods and although there is always a line it moves quite fast and the baked goods are excellent. Pella is a wonderful downtown for shopping and just walking around. The Dutch Fix is a good restaurant for tasty authentic Dutch food. My husband is from the Netherlands and enjoyed our meals there.

    We loved Pella!

We loved Pella! Due to recent knee surgery, we were not able to park and get out and walk the downtown areas, but want to go back when we are physically able to do that. The town is so clean, loved the architecture, all the shops looked welcoming, people were friendly. We drove all around the place, through neighborhoods close to downtown, out into a neighborhood of beautiful new homes, out further from town to see the Pella windows manufacturing, Vermeer company, etc. We will definitely be going back in the near future.

Pella is a beautiful little town that is well maintained by the friendly folks who live there. Be sure to spend time in the lovely parks, especially on a summer Thursday to enjoy the live music in the evening.

I enjoyed my time in Pella, it’s a cute and interesting town. The Jaarsma bakery has delicious pastries, the stores very interesting. The Liberty restaurant was a little pricey but the food was delicious. I had a good breakfast at the Smokey Row coffee shop.

    It was beautiful.

It was beautiful. We stayed for the Tulip Festival and was the first time for my granddaughter. She had a wonderful time. The food was marvelous and the floats were beautifully decorated. It was fun to watch a night parade. There were all kinds of things to do and see. I highly recommend going there!!!

Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of hot and cold choices. It was the cleanest hotel we used on our recent trip, comfortable bed & chair. Remote control had trouble but staff was quick and friendly to take care of it.
