It was clean, the bed was comfy… We had a little bit of an issue with the remote on the TV, they did try to fix it, unsuccessfully, but I would highly recommend this place.

Happy Trails is a quiet property right in the small town of Tropic. Enjoyed having a balcony to sit on and watch the sunset. The room was very clean and comfortable. Coffee, yogurt, and soda available in the common area. Took advantage of the laundry facilities which are onsite and a real bonus. A fresh and hearty breakfast was provided each morning with a smile. Hosts are absolutely wonderful and are always willing to offer suggestions of sites around the area. Would highly recommend this property to others!

The town of Tropic was adorable. The location of the cabins to the town and national parks was great. The appearance of the cabins was attractive from the outside.

Although a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and the pizza place we ate at was very good.
Clark's store has everything you need for hiking, dinner or a quick snack. Really good coffee

Such a cute little quaint town.
Such a cute little quaint town. There isn't much, but it's great. A few little quaint restaurants, and a gas station, and it's just adorable. Highly recommend starting at Bryce Valley Lodging, mini cabins, little personal adorable ones! You won't be disappointed! Great fun.

Tropic was just a short drive to Bryce Canyon and all the hiking. We enjoyed the coffee shop nearby (Bryce Canyon Coffee) and the restaurant that had live music (Showdowns Restaurant) in the evenings! We were there in early May 2023 and the weather was perfect, 35 to 45 degrees in the morning and 80's at the hottest.

Tropic is a great town being about 20 minutes from Bryce Canyon. My partner and I stayed at Bryce Canyon Log Cabins. With many other activities in the area such as ATVs or electric bicycles, Bryce Wildlife Outfitters is the place to go for ATVing. For Dinner I’d recommend Cowboys Smokehouse Cafe and Arriba Mexican Grill. For coffee we went to Bryce Canyon Coffee Co. Inside the park there is dining at Bryce Canyon Lodge, we ate at the buffet for breakfast.

Spent 1 night here as a stop over.
Spent 1 night here as a stop over. Our accommodation was fine but Tropic itself is limited and not helped by the strictly enforced Utah rule of not having a beer without food. In the restaurant this was very odd and we couldn't have a second beer because we hadn't ordered enough food!

Dont stay in Tropic during winter.
Dont stay in Tropic during winter. The whole town is basically close during weekdays in the offseason. All restaurants are only open during weekends. The only place to buy food is the 66 gas station with a general store.
It is a very small town with some motels and a few restaurants, I'd recommend Bryce Canyon City or Mt Carmel Junction.
I was honestly completely surprised by this “motel.” It was probably the best motel I’ve ever visited. The rooms were clean. The bed comfortable. The location was minutes from Bryce. Food nearby was great. Check-in was simple. TVS ACTUALLY WORKED with modern subscription based services like Netflix. Parking was ample. It was perfect. If available, reserve immediately. I actually preferred Bryce and the area to Springdale where Zion is. It’s peaceful in Tropic. Quiet. Enjoy!
The B&B was very nice. The rooms were large and comfy with all the comforts of home. We had access to the kitchen and used the washing machine and dryer. The best part was having breakfast prepared by Gabe. Both days the breakfast was yummy and made to order. If ever in the area would definitely stay here.
The location was perfect. Only 20mins to the park and the town of Tropic had several restaurants, post office and small grocery store.
Our two room/two bath cabin was clean and comfortable for our group. The rooms were clean, and the amenities adequate for our 1 night stay. The location, in Tropic, was also convenient for our sightseeing and activities in Bryce Canyon. The staff answered all our questions and helped make us feel welcome.
We really loved our stay at this welcoming and comfortable B &B at 15 minutes away from Bryce Canyon. Tropic is a perfect location and the B&B is in a calm neighborhood. The room was well-equipped.
The home-cooked breakfast was delicious !!
We could only recommend Happy Trails and their lovely cats !!
No breakfast is offered, which we knew when reserved. The staff were helpful, efficient, professional. The small town of Tropic is great, several good restaurants, and ice cream, and groceries within easy walking distance, and just a few miles from the Bryce Canyon NP entrance.
Joe and Emily are wonderful hosts! They have a beautiful family. It was quiet in Tropic and about 10 miles to Bryce Canyon NP. There is a nice restaurant with live music about 1/2 mile down the road towards Tropic. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable.
Everything! Our stay was just amazing! Cute and typical little wood cabins, clean and with parking in front of the room. Great restaurant nearby with a delicious menu and super friendly staff. Friendly and helpful staff also at the reception. We really enjoyed it.
Great location in Tropic. Highly recommendable for those who want to be close to Bryce Canyon and enjoy a relaxed, private atmosphere. Great breakfast included. A great stay on our trip to the National Parks!
this is a good location for visiting Bryce. Tropic has more options for grocery/restaurants walking distance from hotel. rooms were clean and comfortable despite parking lot being gravel.
Close to Bryce but not nearly as expensive as the properties next to the park. Cool accommodations different than your average hotel room. Nice restaurant right across the street.
Location was ideal for Bryce Canyon and other canyons. Tropic was great. House was spacious, well equipped, washing machine and drier great. Price was good.
