We live in Binalong Bay near St Helens with our little girls Millie and Zoe and our dog Lil. Our family-owned business manages boutique accommodation in the Bay of Fires region. Working in tourism/hospitality and managing holiday rentals in the area for many years, we maintain high standards to present and review accommodation to ensure guests have a comfortable stay in a home away from home. Perched on a hill this 2 bedroom dwelling provides lovely panoramic water views of Georges Bay. It is only short stroll down to walking and biking tracks along the water and an enjoyable 20 minute walk into the centre of town. This lovely property has a bright open plan living area which leads into a tastefully furnished dining space and well equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms both with water views, each have a comfortable a queen bed and easy access to an ensuite sized bathroom. The master bedroom opens up onto a deck with small table and chairs and is a delightful spot to take in Bay vista whilst enjoying your morning coffee. A second deck is accessed off the living area is well set up with outdoor dining setting and Weber BBQ. Guests who have come to ride the St Helens MTB trails can safely store their bikes in the outdoor lock up shed and guests can securely park in the carport located right next to the house. Bays Rest is ideal for single travellers, couples or a small family and is a comfortable haven to explore the Tassie East Coast!

St Helens is set on picturesque Georges Bay. Originally a whaling station in the early 1800’s, St Helens is now renowned as the game fishing capital of Tasmania and is a mecca for all types fishing and water sports. Visitors can board fishing charters or try their luck casting a rod off the pier. St Helens is the perfect place for local seafood. Enjoy fresh oysters straight from Georges Bay. Gather all of the essentials for your holiday from one of the many supermarkets, bakeries and bottle shops. There are a number of restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a tasty meal or kick back with a coffee and watch the world go by. It is not far to explore the beautiful coastline of the Bay of Fires conservation area or travel to St Helens Point to take in the remarkable Peron sand dunes. Only a short drive away, discover the dairy country of Pyengana and visit the cheese factory, the Pub In the Paddock or the St Columba waterfalls. Journey up to the Blue Tier reserve, a stunning forested plateau that offers a range of walks and world-class mountain bike trails. With all of these attractions so close, it is not surprising many visitors choose an extended stay in St Helens!
