Thumbi View Lodge offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cape Maclear. Cape Maclear Scuba Diving Centre is on site. Free private parking is available on site. Superb location right on the beach with a nice small pool. Very friendly staff and nice bar with good meals. I really enjoyed my three day stay at Thumbi View. Large comfortable bed with mosquito netting and lots of hot water and big thick towels! The village is quite small with a few lodges and restaurants and shops but everything you need is here. Went out to a local bar with a pool table one night which was full of locals and very friendly with great Malawian music playing. I will definitely be back.

Staying at Norman Carr Cottages is like going to stay with your cool Aunt and Uncle at their beach house! A gorgeous location right on the shores of Monkey Bay. Lovely rooms with a huge bed and a fun outdoor shower. Meals were delicious with plenty of food to fill you up. The boat trips were excellent - do try and make the most of them! All staff were friendly and professional. Lots of monkeys and cats to keep you company on site too. Thanks Taffy, Leonie and all the wonderful staff for a lovely stay. :)

The staff were very nice, and accommodating. The entire place is clean and quiet. Definitely a place that allows you to relax, looking at the water from your window, with a breathtaking view.
