This is a new site, recently opened in a highly remote area, with few other lodging options around. We arrived from Swakopmund, via a long and rough gravel road, but the way to/from Windhoek is via a paved, excellent road. The lodging cost was rather steep, but the facilities offered are outstanding for the area. Excellent meals, an infinity pool overlooking the desert landscape around the lodge. We stayed in two double rooms, each spacious, with a large circular mosquito net around the bed. Nice touch to have a complimentary shot of a local liquor, Eembe (?), similar to Bailey's or Amarula.

I think this was one of my top 5 stays! Everything was perfect! Service was incredible. Sundowner was lovely. Elephants were just WOW! Loads of bugs, be prepared. It is deep in the wilderness! The pool was a lovely way to cool off in the afternoons! Dinner was divine! We left early on the morning of check out and they prepared the most spectacular box of snacks and a sandwich for us. Thank you for an amazing time!

Outstanding staff, who went the extra mile to engage with guests and to enhance their experience.

This lodge is by far one of the best lodges I have visited in Namibia. This is probably also due to the choice of room. There is only one with its own small pool and it was simply fantastic. The contemporary facilities promise everything you would expect from a lodge in the top segment and leave nothing to be desired. The location between the hilly rocks is exceptional, the sunset an experience. It is a place where you can easily spend three nights.

Situated 45 km from Petrified Forest Khorixas and 100 metres from Twyfelfontein, Malansrus features accommodation in Twyfelfontein. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. The excursions are well worth it. Herman our guide taught us a great deal about the local wildlife. Seeing the desert elephants was a holiday highlight. He also took us to visit Twyfelfontein in the afternoon, it was quiet and a wonderful way to appreciate the stones. Again his knowledge was exceptional. The tents are very comfortable with a shower, toilet and WiFi. The food is all freshly cooked on site and the best we’ve had in Namibia.

Not only does one get to see desert elephants on a game drive with the lovely Deon, but one gets to meet desert elephants who are not used to seeing anyone else drive through but him, max once a day, so it really feels like a wild encounter! The staff is exceptionally pleasant and caring, the owners are truly fabulous people, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. We came in November when the day temperatures were hitting 40 degrees and yet the rooms felt cool enough for our babies nap during the day, and opening the windows at night made for a very cool sleep, so the lack of aircon didn't end up being a problem. The pool is really special, and the thatch bar/restaurant area has a unique character and beautiful views. The food was surprisingly good and varied for a place this remote in the middle of the Namibian desert too! We felt incredibly welcome and looked after by the small team, which made for a very special and intimate experience, the perfect ending of our Namibia trip after the business of Etosha national parks!
