We was in room 4 .Above the bar with very loud music. Could not even hear the tv in our room. Had to be up early the next morning. so not ideal. But ever thing else was perfect.

This hotel was very tired and could go with a luck of paint… the bathroom was grubby.. toilet seat had black marks where it had had the enamel scratched off the shower glass had mould at the bottom of it and the shower may was grubby underneath… also the entire room was lacking in any light.. the fans from the kitchen were a constant hum and the bed linen wasn’t big enough for the two single beds they’d put together .. we booked for 2 nights but left after one… the staff were great and food was ok but accommodation was shocking… also accommodation want even in the pub but around the corner I would like someone from customer services to contact me direct about the entire experience please

A very interesting town.
A very interesting town. The castle and gardens are well worth a visit. Also the Abbey is magnificent along with the area ribs about. The high street has plenty of interest, with several independent cafes and shops. The town is architecturally attractive. Plenty of cat parks.
The location is wonderful, especially with the surrounding countryside offering various walks and the bonus of a working commercial bakery next door :-) Annie and Colin were the perfect hosts, giving enough space for us but we knew they were always available if there were any problems. Sherborne is a lovely well-appointed town with lots to see even in limited lockdown. The breakfast was delicious with local produce much in evidence - the cereal lasted us all week. Convenient parking. Able to use the garden for R&R.
They left a delicious loaf of sourdough from a local baker, fantastic local milk & butter, and on top of that a fresh baked pound cake on the counter. The hospitality was excellent. The bathroom and bedrooms were immaculate. It has just the perfect size common room & kitchen for vacation. The location is the best you'll find in Sherborne period. I loved my stay and I hope that when I'm drawn back to the city that the Yardhouse is available then.
The bedroom was spacious, light and very pretty, with lovely furniture and textiles. The bathroom was large, with a claw-foot bath, a spacious shower and 2 x basins. The house is interesting and attractive and very close to Sherborne. Hosts were friendly, helpful and flexible. The breakfast was generous and tasty, made with free-range and local produce.
Lovely quiet location but not far from Sherborne. Recently redecorated room had a view across open field. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and good sized en-suite bathroom. Food excellent with lovely view of pretty garden from the dining room so we were happy to have our evening meals there.
Unbelievable food, very hospitable staff, lovely location. We didn't get the best weather for walking but did go into Sherborne for the Saturday market which is beautiful and visited Haynes Motor Museum on the way home on Sunday which was a brilliant morning out.
spacious rooms, comfy beds, simple decor, the tea/coffee/water in a little kitchenette on the same corridor is better than other hotels with kettles in the bedroom. Checking in and out was very simple and owners were very hospitable/flexible on time of arrival.
Susie and her Claire Cottage were fantastic! Beautiful historic home that was within walking distance of all of Sherborne's best attractions, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Breakfast was scrumptious. A day trip to Lulworth Cove is highly recommended.
The cleanest place I've been to so far, I'd give 11/10,
Good WiFi,
All the facilities you need apart from the washing machine,
Pub a few steps away, open till late, good food,
Private parking spot,
Will book again if I'm in Sherborne again.
A cleverly appointed studio minutes from Sherborne station. Has everything a couple or small family would need for a short stay. Very clean and comfortable. All the little touches like the wireless phone charger were much appreciated.
Excellent breakfast. Location perfect (as we were attending a concert in Sherborne Abbey). Our hostess had lots of information about the local area and we were guided by her on the choice of walks.
The whole stay was very good indeed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Bit of a walk into town though about 20 mins but you cant have everything.
The location was very good.
Right in the middle of a friendly village with a pub and shop.
Really handy to Sherborne - a great town with interesting market and lots of bespoke shops.
We always stay at the Eastbury when visiting Sherborne and we’re never disappointed. The garden rooms are exceptional, the spa treatments fantastic, and the breakfast sumptuous.
