I stayed 2 days and really enjoyed my time there. I stayed in playa st Blas during the day and drove to playa El Tunco every evening for the restaurants and the night life. Check out farallones and al acantilados hotels for a more refined experience in La libertad. The restaurant at the farallones is worth a visit at leastAAnonymousEcuador - 8.0Scored 8.0

Beautiful beaches; it's is a shame business owners do not invest money in keeping the beaches cleaner. And some of the business owners empty waste in the ocean. So disappointing they have their business there and do not protect this beautiful beaches.

I love La libertad it has so many Beaches and places to explore. It is just amazing. If you live seafood or surfing this is the place. If you ever go there and like the living night and have fun like nightclubs visit El Tunco especially on weekends.AAnonymousUnited States of America - 6.0Scored 6.0

Prices do not reflect the value of the product. The name "Resort" doesn't go with the facility since everything is rustic. Air conditioning does not work very well. I woke up during nights several times in a cold sweat. Bathrooms had only partial enclosures that allow water into the toilet area. Number of towels was limited. Body soap and shampoo was limited or none. La Libertad is a rural area that has limited formal business. So, wondering or shopping around the hotel is not feasible. I tried to cancel one of the two nights and was told it would be too complicated to do it. Food was fine but expensive. Prices were twice as high as what was available at next door beech. I enjoyed the views, the gardens, and the night tranquility. One night would have been enough though.

My husband and I stayed for several nights, and we really enjoyed the proximity to everything in El Tunco. The hotel felt very safe, it had a delicious breakfast, and the room was very comfortable. We had air conditioning and a mini-fridge and it was such a treat. The messaging back and forth before arriving was also very helpful and responsive to my questions. I would definetly stay again and can highly recommend.

I had a bad storm in my hometown and was without power for days, and Mandala was willing to let me change dates on a non-refundable stay. The arrangement of airport pickup and arrival at the hotel at midnight went well. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous!!! I know some complained of dogs, but I didn’t see any in the restaurant area and were around the pool instead. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

The room was clean and had an ocean view. Falling asleep to the waves crashing was peaceful. The access to the ocean during low tide was fantastic! Customer service by all the staff was exceptional. The food was delicious and all waiters were kind and attentive. The food took a while to be prepared but it was worth the wait. The staff were extremely nice and helpful (even with limited English). A rocky beach is right outside the hostel, though there are massive, round rocks and the tide is strong. Great for watching the sunset or taking a dip. I also really appreciated the turtle sanctuary.
