We liked the wonderful warm welcome given by our hosts. It is a beautiful large Victoria villa with impressive gardens, our room was amazing, much bigger than we had anticipated and far exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and the bed was warm and comfy, so nice nicely made up it was a shame to get in it! Lovely dining room where we were served a nicely cooked breakfast in the morning, and with excellent home made Crab Apple jam made by Lesley. If we ever visit the area again we would not hesitate to return 😄😄

Helensburgh is a charming Victorian seaside town on the Firth of Clyde. It has excellent facilities for such a small place. If you don't have a car, everything you need is in the town. If you do have a car, it is a wonderful base for touring, with the beautiful hills and glens of the highlands on your doorstep.

Helensburgh is a fairly big town with a variety of shops and restaurants. There is an 'open' feel to the place, the roads are wide with big pavements. We went to the Ruby a Chinese restaurant which was very nice with friendly staff. The second night we went to the Mare Mire which had lovely pizzas and Italian food. The local people are friendly.
Helensburgh is ideally situated to explore the west of Scotland

Helensburgh is a small town on the seafront which has had a lot of work done on it to make it pleasant with a very nice square in the centre. It has an absolutely brand new sports centre with fantastic views over the sea-loch and of Helensburgh’s sea front. There is a string of low cost typical seaside food outlets along part of the front and quite a few higher quality ones near the square. We found an excellent one adjacent to the square. The town is in a lovely setting amongst the hills and mountains.

Everything was lovely. The warm welcome and drinks in the conservatory on arrival were very much appreciated. The property had been well thought out, very clean with comfortable rooms and a beautiful garden. Anne and John were super hosts and gave great advice with regards the area and places to go. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We found a super local tapas bar for our evening meals with great food and friendly staff. Loved our stay.
The flat was faultless. It had everything you could possibly need for the stay and the host had also thoughtfully left towels, treats, bowls and blankets for the dog, as well as milk, butter, homemade cookies, coffee pods and even pastries. A lovely touch. There was loads of space and the bed was perfect especially for those with bad backs! It was a great base to visit the area. We would definitely recommend it and would book again.
I love history, so an opportunity to stay in a house like this is a rare treat. if you want boring-box hotel room then it's not for you. If you want character it absolutely fantastic. High ceilings, original features, stately feel in abundance. It's close enough to walk into Helensburgh, which has lots of amenities and some great places to eat out. Close to the shoreline for a nice stroll. Lovely quiet area. Very relaxing.
Ideally situated in the middle of town adjacent to car park & conveniently close to railway station.
Staff extremely friendly & welcoming. Everyone we met went the extra mile to make our stay perfect.
Comfortable stylish boutique-style bedroom with up-market accessories.
Breakfast choices were extraordinarily good & cooked to perfection.
Very dog friendly property with separate dog-free dining area too.
A small family run hotel with helpful staff. Room was a reasonable size with twin beds and en-suite shower. Location is in a quiet residential area with one adjacent small convenience store and a Curry Club eatery (belonging to the Hotel) . However a 15 minute walk (5 min drive) gets you to the waterfront main street of the town (Helensburgh) with a reasonable selection of restaurants and shops.
Lovely garden and house which is very comfortable .
Friendly , helpful hosts who can advise of best areas to visit as area is a good base for local areas of interest, travelling to Loch Lomond and west coast of Scotland
All facilities were of a high standard and breakfast was very good with plenty of choices .. and cooked just as you like it .
The flat is located on the seafront, it is in the centre of town and walking distance to everything locally. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the property and we really enjoy it. The host is very helpful and friendly and met us with the keys. The flat has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The hotel was central. The room was adequate. The parking was on the road outside. Not much chance of getting near the hotel so cases need to be carried quite a distance. No lift and a winding 3 floor staircase.
Excellent value, convenient location to Helensburgh Central train station (though you need a taxi to and from Helensburgh Upper train station) and buses, as well as markets, restaurants and the waterfront.
location was spot on very peaceful car port by front door made it easy unload car what ever the weather and it kept it cool and dry patio area was really nice to sit and watch boats on loch
This palace is amazing, a great location if you want to see proper Scotland (I am originally from Scotland) train station near by for those that don't drive
