Nice big room, though it was for handicapped folks. Not sure why I got it. I had requested a non-airport-side room, which I did not get. I did very much appreciat the 2 guys who came to test and then replace my coffee maker at 6 am - they were the best part of my stay!

My stay at the Hilton was amazing! We got there early so our room wasn’t quite ready but I was able precheck in and leave my luggage there and my car in valet while we went to Universal Studios. When we got back to the hotel , I was able just to get the room keys and they brought up my luggage right after. The kids enjoyed the pool and the games . We were very close walking distance to Universal Studios but they offer a shuttle too. The staff kept checking in on me to see if I needed anything . They went above and beyond to make my stay great , they even charged my Tesla so it was ready to go when we had to leave 2 days later . I will definitely come back here to stay and recommend anyone else to stay here too!

This hotel is the right size to be personal with a boutique vibe and yet provide services belonging to larger hotels. We have stayed twice recently and were upgraded at check in on return. This was a really nice touch.

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Great places to visit - hike to Hollywood sign, helicopter ride over the city, Laguna Beach, Venice beach, Santa Monica Pier.
Not so great - expensive! Busy during rush hours, big city to get around so need a car. Difficult to find healthy food options as few and far between. Prepare to queue!

Dodgers game was an addition to our trip and we truly enjoyed it. We found people in the city to be friendly and helpful. Favorite areas to stay were Beverly Hills and Hollywood. And downtown stay at the CitizenM was perfect to catch the game.

Santa Monica is fine. The beach. The main street without cars. Good shopping and restaurants opportunities. We booked a hop-on hop off tour. One sees a lot of skyscrapers in LA but the streets are nothing special

Went there is visit family and watch Dodgers games. They were very accommodating as they won every game we saw (who could ask for anything more). We also went to several comedy clubs. What a great deal that is. . no fee just a request order two things (drink or food). Check out Flappers in Burbank. Note: they will charge for famous people like Jay Leno.

LA was my bucket-list destination, but it is pretty much bottom of the bucket. Honestly, I hated the city. It was dirty, crowded, the people were rude, and sadly the city needs to do more to address its homelessness crisis. Went in a couple tours, but The best part of my stay was the tour of LA’s hoods
After reading reviews you really would think this place was in a horrible area and that's far from the truth. You do have to pass by a lot..a lot of homeless people, it's Los Angeles downtown, not hollywood but once you get in the area of the hotel there a many blocks where they have kept it clean (literally power wash the side walks every morning) and are building it up. There's a convenient store right downstairs, many restaurants and shops walking distance. There's also a little shopping mall "Little Tokyo".
Loved the location, super close to alot of high-end restaraunts and great overall vibe at the hotel and very clean. Great point for checking our all the touristy things on and near Hollywood boulevard and super close proximity to universal studios. They let us keep our luggage at the front desk after check out as we had a super late night flight that day and the food and cocktails are great! Definitely not a cheap spot though if you are looking at travelling on a budget but definitley a couples friendly hotel.
The hotel is located in Los Angeles downtown and If you have plans in this part of the city the location is very convenient. Sightseeing bus stop is just 50 m from the main entrance. Grammy museum and Crypto.com arena are located just across the street. Rooms are spacious and bed is a really king size. Bathrobe and slippers will make your stay more comfortable. Reception staff is welcoming and responsive. In my opinion this hotel is a value for money in LA for those who don't like splashing money out.
The food was absolutely delicious. Amazing bar, breakfast, lunch, etc. The pool area is so calm and relaxed it makes you never want to leave the hotel!!! The staff was so lovely, from the breakfast guy, Shane, to the lunch waitress, we had the best time just relaxing and didn't want to go anywhere else. We were there for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and it's totally walkable! The room was so great, comfortable beds, amazing shower, just perfect.
Excellent location for walking on the Venice beach boardwalk. Pretty much in the middle of the pier and marina del rey, we could walk to both.
Decent food and drink options nearby. The hotel is clean with a nice rooftop. Good vibes.
There is parking right next to the hotel for an additional $45 per day and night. Not the cheapest you can find in the area and very conveniently located right next to the hotel.
This hotel has advantages: it is in the touristic part of the city, near the Walk of Fame; it has free parking which is very helpful for tourists traveling around California by car especially in the Los Angeles area; the rooms are clean, they have a fridge. For the price, location, and free parking it is a wonderful option. Next time I will definitely stay with them again if I am in Hollywood traveling by car
from A-Z I absolutely hated this place!! not recommended at all!! I booked the king size bed room, no carpets, no smart tv, no coffee maker and no microwave in the room, no sofa or table to eat on, the whole hotel and outside areas smelled horribly bad and weedy!! the bedding was really cheap quickly, no iron for clothes, no closet in the room, no mirror in room,
I was so disappointed with this place!!!
This is not the best hotel I ever stayed in, but it's great value for money! It's as cheap as a motel 6, but has decent services, it's impeccably clean and friendly staff.
It's a historic building, 100 yrs old, so it's not like a chain hotel, but it was comfortable enough, and it has a lot of charm.
The street facing rooms have views to the Hollywood sign, and the area is very clean and safe to walk.
Check in was easy - we called ahead regarding parking and the desk clerk was more than helpful in recommending the cheapest nearby overnight parking garage - also, the location is a real winner for this hotel - right off of Hollywood Blvd. - I don't think there's any escaping the homelessness in California, so aside from that, this hotel is smack dab in the middle of where a tourist might want to be.
The hotel is situated in the Arts District of Los Angeles. The location is excellent as several good cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. Downtown Los Angeles and the nearest metro station (to places like Santa Monica) are 20-25 mins away on foot. The staff is extremely good and polite.
I highly recommend it if you are on a budget and are okay with a shared bathroom.
The location was great. Even though downtown LA is overall a kind of sketchy area, the small slice of the city where the hotel is located feels relatively safe with most tourists sights downtown being walking distance. Also, the restaurant attached to the hotel is great for classic American diner food. And the lobby is well done too.
The good: if you're driving, the location is nice. The area feels very safe, the houses around are nice, and it's not far to get into West Hollywood.
The house was pretty nice at one point in the past, and this is probably the cheapest chance you'll get to stay in the hills.(around 200USD per night)
I am usually a buy the cheapest hotel I can find kind of person and although I did think it was a bit pricey, it was so worth the safety and cleanliness I felt. the staff was great, awesome location, very clean room. I think it’s the best deal you’re going to get in that area. would stay here again!
Excellent ambience, excellent staff, and the Pilot Restaurant was phenomenal, delicious and exquisitely lighted and located on the property. There was beautiful décor in the rooms with an amazing view of downtown Los Angeles. I loved everything about this hotel and I will definitely be back.
On-street parking outside. Good garden space. The host provides good facilities. Close to Universal Studios and Warner Brothers Studios. Close to 101 Freeway and Burbank airport. Easy to get to downtown LA, Santa Monica, and further afield in the greater Los Angeles area.
Hotel in quiet area not too far from all the sites in Hollywood
10-15mins walk to metro red line for downtown
Tea/Coffee in room
Decent size room
Good WIFI
Hotel located in central area downtown Los Angeles. Within easy walking distance of LA Convention

This is a great "budget" hotel near LAX. Within 1/2 hour of most destinations on west side and downtown. Reasonably modern, clean and relatively quiet.
