Perfectly positioned to make the most of the Australian outback, Sails in the Desert is just a 5-minute walk from the Uluru (Ayers Rock) lookout and is a great spot to take in the desert sunrise or... It's nice comfy place with good atmosphere. We like it very much. It's better to come here with the car, free parking. petrol station is near. The gate of the national park 4 km, 3 min drive. The tickets to the park better to buy on this gate. You can pay cash or card, 38 AUD per person for 3 days. So you can come and go several times, visit Uluru in the morning[it's 16 km from the gate,15 min drive] and sun sat point in the evening and next day Kata Tjuta in the morning and its sun sat point in the evening[44 km from the gate].All of this in that money. If you are without the car you will need a bus from the hotel,45 AUD per person for 1 visit and pay by credit card only!

Desert Gardens Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, some with a private balcony or views of Ayers Rock (Uluru). Guests can unwind in the outdoor pool, or at the restaurant and bar. Loved the room size. Comfy bed. Garden was great. Having a fridge and kettle.

Situated less than 15 km from Ayers Rock, The Lost Camel Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and an outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace. Room was simple, but spotless. Swimming pool was a wonderful spot to cool off after long hikes in 30+ temperatures. Location was terrific… right beside the “town square” with access to cafes, a grocery store, souvenir stores and a place to book tours. We had stayed here on our first trip to Australia 12 years ago, and could not make a booking six years ago because of renovations. We were happy to return and not stay in one of the more expensive venues.

Ideally situated for those who want to enjoy all that Uluru, Ayers Rock, has to offer, Outback Hotel offers an on-site restaurant. Free WiFi is available. Nice, spacious room. Convenient on- site restaurant/ bar. Lovely pool for swimming/ relaxing. Path to an observation site for watching the sunrise/ sunset. Shuttle stop in front of hotel for going to village/ other hotels.

Emu Walk Apartments are just a short walk from Ayers Rock Resort centre. Each apartment is air-conditioned and has a TV with free-to-air channels, plus a balcony or veranda. Fantastic facilities and staff. So close to everything.
