Set in the Skjæringa area of Longyearbyen, Mary-Ann's Polarrigg is built with old rigs. Central Longyearbyen is between 6-8 minutes walk away and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. My daughter and I stayed there 5 nights while we explored Svalbard. Everything about this place was great. The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is great for the short walk to the centre. The breakfasts were fabulous in a room filled with plants. We really liked that tea and coffee were available all day. The common lounge was comfortable and relaxing. We cooked for ourselves a couple of nights and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The bathrooms were conveniently located with great showers.

Radisson Blu Polar Hotel is the northernmost full-service hotel in the world, located in Longyearbyen. We stayed here for 6 night and could not have made a better choice. Everything is perfect, the staff has been extremely helpful with all we needed. I truly believe that if you want to stay in Longyearbyen there is no better option than this. The hotel also has a souvenir shop, which also provides winter gloves (same products for cheaper than any shop in town) and a lot of other goodies (including postcards) to remember this unique destination. In the hotel you can also find a pub that is open until 2 AM and a restaurant. However, if you want to try other restaurants, the hotel is walking distance (like 200m) from the mainstreet, as well as from most of the attractions. Totally will be here again!

Great location in the middle of Longyearbyen with many eating and drinking options with a couple of minutes walk. The room was perfect for our group of six and was bigger that we'd expected. Very comfortable and convenient. We'd feared there might be night-time noise from the pub below - none whatsoever. If we ever return to Svalbard, we'd be happy to stay here again.

The hosts were super flexible and we could change our reservation as one person could not travel. The best budget place to stay and enjoy Longyearbyen!

This hotel is situated on the island of Spitsbergen, in Norway’s Arctic Archipelago, Svalbard. It offers stunning views, free WiFi and free afternoon treats. Access to a relaxation area is also free. Love this hotel! Very boutique with wonderful service. You would not expect to find a place like this in a small town like Longyearbyen. We have stayed here many times and each time it has met our expectations. Check out the wine cellar, WOW!
