The facilities were brilliant, especially the well stocked kitchen and the outdoor baths. It was such a peaceful, beautiful spot to unwind, watch and feed the ducks and swans. We really enjoyed sharing the delicious platter, which was perfect with a glass of local rose wine. All those additional treats like the home made biscuits made you feel like you were being looked after.

Ascot Oamaru Motel is one of Oamaru's largest motel complexes only minutes by car to the town centre, shops, Blue Penguin Colony, Oamaru Racecourse, Centennial Park and the Historic Oamaru Precinct. I found it OK for one night stay but the room was dated but still it was clean .

Offering free WiFi, barbecue facilities and a sunny terrace, Colonial Lodge Motel is just 10 minutes’ drive from Oamaru Beach. The layout was perfect for our family with separate bedroom and living room sleeping area. Easy and friendly check in. Slept great on comfortable bed. While nothing jumps out about the motel it delivered more than expected! Also Oamuru turned out to be the hidden gem of our trip! Super interesting town!

A luxury bed & breakfast experience awaits you in our historic Oamaru stone mansion. The owners were exceptionally friendly & restaurant staff were great. Bedroom & facilities were awesome - every detail was thought of & included - shower was brilliant & lighting in the wall. Loved the artwork in the breakfast room upstairs!!

The Shepherd's Rest is situated on a farm, within a 10-minute drive from the centre of Oamaru. The adults-only property has mountain views. Quirky and fun from the gypsy caravan shaped cabin to the alpacas and sheep that greet you every morning. We loved our stay here and feeding the critters was a delight.
