This place was an unexpected treasure. Everything down to the fresh baked goods in our room, bath salts for the outdoor tub and chocolates on our pillows was a step beyond. Casey worked with us on arrival and departure times. The views are beautiful, your own private pond and the cabin was exceptionally clean. I wish we would have had more than one night but we would work this place into our trip every time. It is beautiful. We stayed in several other cabins, and this was by far the best because of all the special details. Thank you for all your special attention to the little things.

Ascot Oamaru Motel is one of Oamaru's largest motel complexes only minutes by car to the town centre, shops, Blue Penguin Colony, Oamaru Racecourse, Centennial Park and the Historic Oamaru Precinct. Perfect for an over nighter, bed and facilities were good.

Offering free WiFi, barbecue facilities and a sunny terrace, Colonial Lodge Motel is just 10 minutes’ drive from Oamaru Beach. The layout was perfect for our family with separate bedroom and living room sleeping area. Easy and friendly check in. Slept great on comfortable bed. While nothing jumps out about the motel it delivered more than expected! Also Oamuru turned out to be the hidden gem of our trip! Super interesting town!

Bedroom & facilities were awesome - every detail was thought of & included - shower was brilliant & lighting in the wall. Loved the artwork in the breakfast room upstairs!!

The Shepherd's Rest is situated on a farm, within a 10-minute drive from the centre of Oamaru. The adults-only property has mountain views. Jennie is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. Even though it’s quite compact, it has everything we needed. The moment we stepped into the farm, we felt so relaxed and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Love it here. I am missing the three Alpaca Brothers and the sheep already. Love that we could feed them and interact with them anytime we wanted and the cutie pies made us feel very loved and welcomed too!
