The room was spacious the appliances were actually working and we didn't get cold thanks to that heater and we got chargeable lights when the power was about to cut, a very helpful and friendly staff member he was the best (unfortunately forgot his name) overall my stay there was worth every second

Ralf and his wife have this absolute gem of a hotel in Newcastle. We stayed in one of the rooms as a group of 3. The rooms are large and comfortable, and they provided us with hot water and ice cubes for drinks as a welcome. The highlight of the hotel is the extremely lovely garden and a cute interior in the dining room, where we received a very nice breakfast. The staff is super friendly, and gave us great recommendations about where to get groceries or dinner. Thanks for the great stay!

Interesting B&B in the grounds of the late 19th century author, Rider Haggard's, home. Very attractive garden, comfortable room, honesty bar and dinner was available if pre-booked. (No choice of menu, except we were asked if we had any allergies.) We had a good meal of lamb chops in our room as the weather was rainy, but could have eaten at a table outside or in the house dining room. Breakfast was good, with quite a wide choice and eggs cooked to order.
