Marbakki was a very beautiful, secluded property. My family and I loved the design of the house - it was very cozy and made us feel right at home. The villa had a lot of great touches including a well stocked kitchen (various spices, coffee pods, etc.) and yoga mats. The rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it was spacious and very clean. The outside deck overlooking the ocean and the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the ocean and mountain views. I highly recommend taking an evening or morning walk on the beach! Our family really enjoyed this villa and we will keep it on our list for future Iceland trips!

We stayed here while we visited the west of Iceland and the national park. The apartment was clean, beds were nice. Recently remodeled bathroom. Living area and kitchen were adequate. Nice to have laundry included, although we didn’t use it. Neighborhood was safe with a nice restaurant nearby.

The house itself is insolite, used to be a bar, a grocery shop and later turned into e guesthouse. Generous and homey spacing and a beautiful flow, you enter from the street to the dining room then to the bedroom and then out on the terrace overviewing the ocean. The monocular on the terrace was a welcomed add on from the hosts, they knew seals are just in front at low tide... The cold beers in the fridge were also a nice touch ;) Loved our stay!
