The location was gorgeous, surrounded by fields, the host was so lovely, really made my trip, very attentive and cooked up some brilliant breakfasts. The room and bathroom were always clean, great quality showers and a super comfy bed. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Our stay at Townsend House was wonderful! The room was beautiful- we stayed in the family suite which was spacious and very comfortable. The location was just perfect for exploring the small village of Birr- walking distance to the castle and town center. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was delicious (and huge!). We were so happy with this stay and would definitely recommend it.
