I liked the charm of the renovated historic building. It had easy access & plenty of parking. We never got a chance to have dinner there but the breakfast was nicely prepared and the service was second to none.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower was amazingly hot, and the pressure was on point. The beds were very clean. The motel was in a good location, and it was easy to find. It's probably about a 20-minute drive to the Hunter Valley.

The Bronte Boutique Hotel, hotel in East Maitland

Built in 1860, the historic Bronte Boutique Hotel is located just 50 meters from the Hunter River.

It was wonderful to stay at such a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of a lovely historic town. The owner was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and we appreciated having a shared sitting room to gather. We really enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the town and countryside. A memorable weekend.

Great just going for a drive around the town/city.

Great just going for a drive around the town/city. Wineries are a must, so many can't fit them all in one day. Great choice of restaurants. Even have a zoo, which probably needs more advertising along the roads to find it.

Needed accommodation close to destination and the Windsor Hotel was in the perfect location away from any city centre and not far from the ultimate destination. Did not stay in the area. Nice to relax with a drink before dinner which was good value for money and excellent food

Not many places to eat there.

Not many places to eat there. There are three massive, soulless commercial places with pokies and horse racing, and a few takeaway joints. You can't really walk peacefully anywhere as there are so many main roads. There are bike lanes everywhere which would have been great if there was anywhere to hire a bike. So I really don't recommend turning up without a car. And with all that, it's not like it's even close to anywhere. Morpeth is OK (just) but tiny and Maitland is fine, but how can there be so few places to go walking in the middle of the countryside?

not a lot at east maitland. don't know whether shops have closed because of the virus but quite a few empty shops. could do well if you opened a coffee shop. not many of them around. the one we had breakfast at was very nice. morpeth was a lovely village not too far away and the gaol was good.

    Not much to tell.

Not much to tell. I visited family and have lived there a long time before I moved. It is now close to a really big shopping center. For many people that is a plus. Threre is also a bus service from right in front of the motel. This goes to Maitland proper and the Green Hills shopping center. Very handy for those who don't have a car.
