I think this is a such a great pub hotel - the rooms are so roomy and comfy and really quiet considering what a big busy pub is downstairs. I really like the decor, the shower was great, mini bar and room service from the pub were great. It feels very European. Location can't be beaten and it's great to just take up residence and people watch.

Room was clean comfortable and the staff was great. Breakfast was a bonus and so was the cheese platter and free drinks in the bar across the road every night.
The welcome sign on the mirror was a surprising touch. Great security.

Unfortunately we were there on Monday to Wednesday when the town is very quiet and the famous market closed-only open on weekend. Also the art gallery was closed as they were preparing for another exhibition-would have been nice to have been forwarned to avoid going there.NORMANAustralia - 10Scored 10
Fremantle is a very walkable place.
Fremantle is a very walkable place. It's mostly flat and most things are within a 1 -2 km walk. We did not have a car and did not miss it. High Street is the place for cafes and shops. Bathers beach is great for restaurants and sunsets. The pace in Fremantle is slow, which suited us. We had a wonderful 4 days here and would recommend Fremantle to anyone wanting to experience the friendliness of Western Australia and enjoy that small town feel. Fremantle Markets is also brilliant.

It’s a nice historical place where it’s also convenient to board the ferry to Rottnest Island . The Foods & Beverage scene is very vibrant , not just within Fremantle but also the neighbouring areas like Cottesloe .

Fremantle has a warm, nostalgic place in my heart but over the years it has become decidedly tatty. Yes, it has history to offer but the general atmosphere in the town is one of cafés, eateries and non-descript shops offering uninteresting souveniers. The Fremantle town council is badly in need of a strategy to create a town that serves the broader community beyond a place to drink coffee any time in the week

Lots of cafes and restaurants,food was great. Markets were amazing and worth visiting. The beach was small in Fremantle but very clean. There is a great atmosphere and it is very safe to walk around with good transport links to Perth.

My room was large, air-conditioned and very clean. There were bathrobes, nice towels and soaps, slippers, a fridge, tea-making facilities, and a pod coffee machine. The bathrooms were clean and had soap dispensers. The whole place seemed very tasteful and well looked after. The location is good -- you can walk to the beach or the centre of Fremantle, and there are several cafes and an organic food shop nearby.

Everything was sparkling clean and having the free parking spot was definitely a big plus. We had to check in quite late as we were arriving into Perth in the evening, but Vivienne was very accomodating and gave us pretty clear instructions on how to grab the key and let ourselves in.
