Good location, behind the Outback Pioneers shop front on a main street. We booked a Standard Queen room, which was a little bigger than a standard motel room, in that you have a small kitchen/dining area, separate from the bedroom, which was nice. The bathroom is quite large, loads of cupboard storage space, very handy. The bedroom has a WIR with more storage space. Nicely decorated with a rustic ‘pioneer’ touch. Bed was very comfy, good air con. Kitchen facilities are good, has a sink, small fridge, microwave and a hot plate, along with all the usual kitchen supplies. Shower & hairdryer are good. Bathroom supplies include 2 small soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion (quality toiletries), and plentiful supply of loo paper and facial tissues.
Offering an outdoor pool, Albert Park Motor Inn-KING BEDS-POOL-SHADED PARKING is just 2 minutes’ drive from Longreach Airport. It features air-conditioned rooms offering a flat-screen TV.
Located in Longreach, Abajaz Motel-All Rooms Updated-May 2024 offers barbecue facilities. With free WiFi, this 3-star motel has an outdoor swimming pool and a garden.

Check what you want to see/do before making any bookings as some things are not on every day. If travelling by train and you want a twin sleeper you need to book many months ahead. The trips and experiences are very expensive but quite unique. Chooses a cooler time of the year.

Longreach is a wonderful country town, you can find anything you need there, even a touchless car wash.
The qantas museum was worth it. Unfortunately the stockmans hall was closed on the public holiday. Spent the evening on a sunset river cruise and had a wonderful time, we were wined and dined at smith's camp which included live entertainment. An absolutely fantastic end to our day.

Longreach is a clean, safe modern town which has retained much of its pioneer heritage. Good facilities except for lack of public transport. Most people would need access to a vehicle. Plenty of places of interest. Good selection of accomodation. It is very much in the outback. Air travel is probably the best way to get there.

Plenty to see close by and a little way out (Winton & Ilfracombe for e.g).
Everybody very friendly and helpful. Plenty of food outlets from hotels to cafes and retail stores. Everything in town within easy walking distance.

Lovely town in the central west and probably the best kept/most loved by the local council. Lots of activities and experiences to engage with. The Italian Restaurant was excellent and Rebecca the owner/host made it even moreso.
location great, i stay in a lot of hotels both for work and for private holidays.
although the room were clean and tide - the decor and facilities appear very dated.
if the price was less - id find it reasonable. however for the price i expected more - a lot more.
Not a lot. Considering how much we paid per night the place was very untidy and run down. The cleaning staff were great but didn’t make up for the fact that this place is not worth the money. The $60 hotel room we stayed in at Roma was a whole lot better.
We were extremely disappointed and after speaking to the manager we were moved to the Albert Hotel which has been recently renovated. the Abajaz is to be renovated eventually and definitely needs it. $300 a night was an appalling amount to charge.
The property is very well located minutes from Longreach. Tanya and David were welcoming on arrival and the Safari Tents were beautifully appointed and very comfortable.
- excellent location on the main street of Longreach
- free shuttle from the airport and to the QF museum next morning
- the hotel is a little musuem in itself
