That we managed to get a room at all and it was quiet space but it was quite dodgy at night too where at times we felt unsafe. This town was really quiet in general during Spring.
This traditional hotel is set in the beautiful wine-producing region of the Middle Rhine Valley, a world cultural heritage site.

We had two very spacious rooms, one even "luxurious suite" with remarkable layout/interior, with large double beds and an additional separate bed (family of 5, 2 aldults , 3 teens). Price was ok for just one night
Flexible and clear check-in facilities, even on difficult/late hours.
Very remarkable, nice city (not expected!)

Great facility - felt just like home! Everything was full-sized - no cramped little shower or mini fridge. :-)
The view of the passing activity included very light road traffic, smooth and quiet trains, and Rhine ferries and cargo - all while still being completely relaxing and peaceful.
A short, peaceful walk will take you into the village itself. It's removed enough to not attract any noise from venues.
Free Wifi is available throughout the property and Main Station Mainz is 29 miles away.

Located in the center of the town, it's a spacious apartment including a bedroom, a sitting room, a well-functioned kitchen, and a bathroom. Everything of the apartment is perfect, with lots of lovely details which showed the hostess' hospitality and kindness. In fact it's much more than we have expected.
The parking is easy. We unloaded luggages just in front of the house and the nearest parking lot is along the main road by the Rhein. Prepare some coins for it. 3 euro is enough for parking overnight.
A morning walk in the old town is superb experience.
Bacharach is one of my favorite locations. I stayed here the first time I ever visited Germany, and I keep coming back. If you come here, try the local wine, and please respect the residents of the town and the beautiful environment.

We found Bacharach via online reviews and recommendations.
We found Bacharach via online reviews and recommendations. It was all it was described to be. Beautiful, authentic, less touristed and the locals were extremely friendly. Would recommend a train trip to Bacharach to experience the beautiful views on the Rhine.

It was very quiet, although we expected that it should be high season and therefore busier. It is a beautiful old town and well worth visiting. We were disappointed that KD had cancelled boat trips up and down the river on the day we were there, so there was less to do than we had planned.

For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village...
For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village of numerous old homes ( some dating back pre-16th century, yet well-restored and maintained) and cobbled streets.
During our stay, we walked:
- up to the castle above the town - strenuous for us-we are both in our 70s!
- about 3km towards Kalb (sited on the opposite side of the Rhine;
- about 6km up into the hills above Bacharach.
Each of these walks were highlights of our five-day stay.
In summary, we had the benefit of a very comfortable apartment, excellent, thoughtful hosts; combined with a visit to a beautiful town.
The location is perfect, we could not have asked for a better spot to stay, everything is around you and has such charm, The hotel was quiet and has old school character which we really enjoyed, such things as the low lighting and old stairs that makes a small noise, it is a great little time capsule! The staff are super friendly and breakfast was perfect, please take the time to enjoy the breakfast room with your coffee before taking in the beautiful town, time slows down a bit and its certainly great!
The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and bedding was comfortable as well. A/C worked well. It is next to train tracks but in a good location in town and you do not hear the train. We were on the opposite side, however. Served an excellent breakfast. They take pride in their food there. The restaurant for dinner was great as well. Chef even came out to ensure everyone enjoyed their meals. Train went by multiple times but it was fast and quiet. We enjoyed staying at this hotel.
We had not initially booked for breakfast, but did after we arrived. It was well worth the price, and there are not a lot of cafes in the town that open early. The entire place was very clean, and the triple room was roomy, with the single part having its own sink - they shared a balcony with a view. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us a lot of information for touring nearby as well as recommended some a couple of restaurants in town - we ate at them both and they were delicious!
The hotel is in the perfect spot for access to the entire little town. The pool and sauna were very much appreciated after carrying our backpacks. The manager was friendly and accommodating, and instantly made us feel welcome with a joke and an early check in. She was a delight. We were also extremely happy with the impressive breakfast spread. It is so well appointed and served that lunch is not really needed. We would highly recommend this hotel in Bacharach!
nothing good about this hotel. Management refused to recognise my booking even when I showed them the confirmation. They increased the price from 70 to 90 euros and demanded cash payment immediately. The lady was vey aggressive and it was take it or out. As it was late and after cycling all day I took it. on departure the gentleman followed me around everywhere presumably to ensure I didn’t steal the room key. Very insulting.
Lovely rooms, one of the only places in town with air conditioning (which was very appreciated during my hot July visit), very quiet and peaceful. Self check-in was very easy, and it was great to have this option as my flight was very delayed so I arrived close to midnight. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help book a taxi for me short notice due to my late arrival!
Nice location just outside Bacharach; advised to rent a bike in the city to move up and down. The room was tidy, and the breakfast was amazing. The area in which the breakfast was served was a nice location to sit and relax. The wine from their own cellar is very tasty and can be bought for a good price from the fridge in the breakfast room.
Above everything else we liked, the couple that own / run the hotel are absolutely wonderful people, so friendly, helpful and kind. Room was large with a spacious balcony, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, Location is excellent just 5 minutes from the centre. Definitely will return here, Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Size, comfort, decor, amenities of the room, quiet, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, helpful tourism information, I've been traveling for decades and this is one of my favorites.
The location is about a 20 minute walk from downtown Bacharach, host can pick you up at station, otherwise it is pleasant to walk thru the area.
The hotel is located right next to a busy mainline railway, so it is quite noisy - good for people with hearing impairment or who bring earplugs.
The hotel itself is a bit run down but it was fine for the couple if nights that I was there and it is a really interesting historical building. directly on the old town wall.
Gisela's is an exceptional apartment and a true gem: extremely clean and comfortable, modern, with everything one needs in terms of kitchen appliances, it is furnished with a great deal of taste and distinction. The location is ideal: just a five-minute walk to downtown Bacharach.
Everything! Stunningly beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice and constant replenishment. Evening food in the restaurant was also excellent and reasonable in price.
This quaint hotel is in a great location to walk anywhere in Bacharach, is clean and quiet. The hostess, Brigid, is very kind and helpful and she makes a great breakfast. Parking was close and free, and the bed was comfortable.
Beautiful, traditional building.
Very particular but in a very unique and nice way.
The very true pet friendly hotel.( with gifs for our 2 Akita inu)
Excellent menu. We strongly recommend the hotel restaurant.
Small hotel. Rooms basic but large and clean. No air con so may be hot in summer. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. In the heart of Bacharach so great for wanderingto bars and restaurants.
We had a wonderful stay! Thank you for the friendly welcome Inge . The room was very comfortable and clean. Awesome location right in the center . Free Parking is close to the Hotel.
The property is beautiful, located on a quaint cobblestone street. A nice, comfortable room close to any where in Bacharach you'd want to go. Short walk from train station.
