It is a hop in stay before we travel to Black Forest the next day. We were greeted excellently by the staff and most notably a very humble gentleman(forgot his name) who also cooked the dinner for us, which was delicious. The room was very comfortable. Hotels exterior is very beautiful. For EV vehicle owners, you have a supercharger in the hotel parking lot, which is super good.

A pleasant small town in a lovely location. Not that many shops, but more than enough for visitors. There isn't much to see in town, but as a base for exploring the area it's very well located. The town has a good selection of restaurants and bars too

Boppard is a quaint town on the banks of the Rhine and is ideal as a base for exploring the villages and castles along the river. Also a great base for a trip down the river on one of the cruise ships. Loads of good places to eat or just have coffee or ice cream!

Boppard is a charming place and I have visited many times in the past. It is easy to reach via train from Frankfurt and a good base to explore further by train, Mainz, Cologne, Koblenz and Bonn are all within a 2 hour train ride. Unless you really want to you do not need to hire a car as there is plenty to see via public transport. It's an area which seems more popular with mainland European than UK travellers but it doesn't feel overcrowded or overly busy, it has an interesting centre with lots of nice cafes, ice cream parlours and independent shops. Along the riverfront are several excellent restaurants. The Roman remains are interesting and we spent our only wet afternoon at the museum, which was also interesting and free with the Guest card. The fact that the guest card entitles you to free public transport within the area is a huge bonus and we also made use of the discount on KD cruises with a trip back from Rüdesheim to Oberwesel and then back to Boppard on the train. 5 days to a week is the perfect length of time here and allows for some real relaxation as well as new things to see.

Boppard is a lovely town with very nice places to eat and drink. There is planty to see and do - we went on the chair lift to Gedeonseck, a viewpoint high above the river with a very nice bar / restaurant - take your binoculars! It is also a good base for walking or cycling in the area.
The town is well served by means of getting about, there is a regular train service to Koblenz and Mainz (well worth it just for the views) and also frequent river cruises in both directions. There is also a place you can hire bicycles (including electric ones).
Although Boppard doesn't have its own castle, there are a number within easy reach such Castle Katz and Casle Maus (near St Goarshausen).

Bad Salzig - I only needed one night to get to Koblenz on the next day, there is not much I can tell about Bad Salzig as such. However, a long walk through the park (towards the hills south west) proved that Bad Salzig deserves the "Bad" in the name.

Boppard is right on the Rhine and in the middle of the Rhine wine country. Many tour boats are based in Boppard and the Regional Train stops here and at every other little town between Koblenz and Mainz. This means you can easily visit all the wineries and never have to worry about driving; so enjoy! There are many good restaurants in Boppard also. But many do not take credit cards, so be sure to ask before you sit if you need to use a credit card - and carry cash.
I was hiking the RheinBurgenWeg, and since there was no possibility to stay at my next planned stop in Hirzenach, I last minute booked a room in Hünsrucker Hof in Boppard. It was reasonably priced and still had rooms available, but the hotel largely exceeded my expectations. Hünsrucker Hof provides simple but clean rooms and has a cute 50s style design interior. In the morning you're welcomed with music playing from an old record player and a nice breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly.
Lovely warm welcome, convenient location from motorway, good evening meal in restaurant and great breakfast. Location is also a 20 minute drive down to Boppard which is a pretty town by the Rhine. I saw that others had been bothered by road noise on previous reviews and so there were earplugs thoughtfully provided along with usual toiletries! We weren’t bothered by traffic noise at all but it depends what you are used to I suppose.
It’s close the river in an old part of town. It’s a hotel/bar/restaurant, a combo I like. The food was OK but maybe they do better when more people come through. It is not yet post pandemic here. The thing I did not like was how dingy everything seemed with very low lighting. If you are sensitive about covid precautions you should be aware that the guy who runs it is very skeptical about masks.
Never stayed anywhere that's nearer to a train station, literally steps away!! Room was proper and clean just like a hotel, and the best thing is I got the whole 6-bed room to myself on the last night of stay. Staffs were super helpful as well. Nothing to complain, I had a good night of sleep, and I love everything including this small pretty town beside the rhine. Thank you so much.
The welcome was warm, friendly and genuine - something that tends to come with a family-run hotel such as this. The room was immaculate, with great bed/pillows/aircon etc. Attention to detail in all regards exceptional.
However, the thing I liked most was the dinner - my word, whoever's manning the stove can't half cook!
Also really good value.
The staff was very friendly in this family-owned hotel. We enjoyed our stay along with the beautiful breakfast provided in the morning. The surrounding area is also beautiful. If you don't go for a morning walk, you are really missing out.
We loved this nice, very clean apartment with good matresses. It is conveniently located in the city center of Boppard with modern facilities and nicely decorated. It is located on the 3rd floor (2nd floor Dutch compréhension).
This was just a short stay for the lovey river. The hotel was just about a bed and bathroom which it what it was and very comfortable. Great spot for traveling around the river and close to boat rides.
The hotel is located right by the river with pleasant views (if you paid extra) and behind the main town square. It was good to have a kettle inside the room, which is not wide-spread in Germany.
Charming German style "pension" a short walk along the Rhine River from Boppard Center. Friendly hospitable owners. Tasty breakfast in a beautiful dining room.
