Very well maintained hidden gem in Freising, was put up in this hotel last year as my Lufthansa flight was canceled and loved the hotel and town so much we came back for a two night stay.

Personnel very kind and professional.
Hotel and (traditional food) restaurant in the same place (extremely practical in a snowy evening)
Close to very good bakery for breakfast.

As always, the staff is very friendly and ever so helpful. Very clean and a very good breakfast too and has parking! We always stay here on our last night in Germany if we are flying out of Munich. The airport is only 15 minutes away. There are nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The train station is a 15 minute walk to catch a train into Munich - 30 to 50 minutes away!
This hotel is located on the premises of Munich Airport, 2297 feet from Flughafen Besucherpark station. It offers modern rooms with flat-screen TV. Free WiFi is also available.

The staff at the reception were very friendly. The room was nice and clean, the layout was well distributed to have enough space for everything.
The family-run Hotel am Klostergarten is quietly located in Freising-Neustift, just a 7.5 mi from Munich Airport, a bright breakfast room with conservatory, and contemporary rooms with free internet...

The bed was very comfortable for a good night sleep, and the food was also great in the restaurant. The owners were very kind and the lady that work in the restaurant too, all of them very friendly and familiar.

A lovely town with lots of independent shops, great eateries and fab transport links to Munich and other cities.
Weißbräu Huber at the top of the high street always provides excellent food and service as does the Freisinger Augustiner also on the high street. You can also eat and drink at the oldest brewery in the world Bräustüberl Weihenstephan which is a lovely walk up to. If you are walking through the woods then a stop at Plantage Biergarten is worth a stop.
Munich S-Bahn (S1 line) ends at Freising or you can hop on the main train line and visit lots of local cities such as Passau, Munich, Regensburg, Landshut etc. all worth a visit.
Travel in late spring / Summer and enjoy the outdoor pools (FREIBAD) which are exceptional.
One of my favourite cities for location, amenities.

A very walkable town just outside Munich airport.
A very walkable town just outside Munich airport. People are very friendly. Lots of shops that are well priced as this is not a overly touristy town. It does have interesting historic buildings, town square and a convenient pedestrian walk along the main district.
A big mix of international food choices- from classic German to sushi, to Japanese steakhouse, Greek, Middle Eastern.

The town is under construction including the main drag through town, churches and other buildings. So many cafés to sit and people watch. Not many restaurants to choose from. At least two supermarkets to purchase vegan, vegetarian and meat snacks & goodies to pack a picnic lunch or dinner.

The Huber Weisbrau Restaurant had good Bavarian food, waiters were a bit rude to our group. My group and I went to Holy Mass in the morning (walking distance from hotel and uphill) at St. Mary and St. Korbinian Cathedral which was absolutely breathtaking and the priest welcomed us warmly. Wish we had had more time to get a tour of this beautiful Cathedral and it’s history, as well as the city. As we walked to and from Holy Mass, we saw the beautiful paintings on some of the buildings. Sadly, we only had an overnight stay with our flights on our way home from a wonderful Međugorje Pilgrimage.

Freising is a wonderful place.
Freising is a wonderful place. I could walk around and explore. I love the folklore of the city and spotting the bears posed around the city. Ask about the bears!!! We found 8 of them, but I am sure there are more. There is a great local pub, Augustiner Bierstueber, with a great selection of wine and beer.

Freising is a lovely place to visit.
Freising is a lovely place to visit. Very picturesque, plenty of history to keep you busy and entertained. It is very walkable with many good restaurants and shopping. Train station is conveniently located to city center.
Walking around you will find something interesting around each corner. We enjoyed visiting the Freising Cathedral which has amazing architectural features. Plan for a longer visit as there is more to see than the main church interior.
We found the service and food were the best at Weissbraeu Huber...we ate there two nights! The outdoor seating was perfect as well.
Modern, unique lighting, comfortable stay. We missed our flight and needed a place to crash at the last minute. Since Munich city center would have been a trek, we thought we would check out this nearby village of Freising. To our delight, this hotel was well situated just one block from the historic city center with cute shops and restaurants without being touristy. FYI The cab costs 40€ one way from the airport but the bus is convenient with the nearest stop a close walk from the hotel and only costs 4€.
A friendly and warm welcome at this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely with excellent food, Bavarian and international, and beer from Weihenstephan. Breakfast was varied, fresh and plentiful. The hosts were extremely helpful with local information and anything else that we asked. The hotel is very well placed for all transport into the pretty Bavarian town centre of Freising and the airport (bus or S bahn). We would always recommend this lovely hotel
This was a perfect place for my stay in Freising. Easy home base from which to walk around town, close to the central station and also a short walk to city bus stops & the easy-to-navigate transit system linking Freising, the airport, Munich, etc, when I needed to travel further. The self check-in and building access was absolutely easy to manage and I always felt I could reach out if ever needed assistance. I think I'll be back!
Late night flight made the cost of getting into Munich prohibitive so looked at Freising, just a few miles from the airport and found this fantastic and authentic hotel. Lovely rooms (with great air con!), good breakfast in lovely courtyard, only stayed one night but had time for a stroll around Freising and would recommend, it's a really quaint and compact Bavarian town, a much nicer option than staying in Munich!
Solid hotel. Clean room/bathroom. Good Swedish-buffet-style breakfast, which had everything I would want, for example, eggs (both hard-boiled and scrambled), ham, yoghurt + cereals/muesli, fruit salad, coffee, water, fruit juice etc. Location is in a quiet area, 800 m away from the train station, from where you can take the regional train to go to the airport. Freising is a nice little town.
Stayed overnight due to early flight the next day. Hotel served its purpose as a place to stay close to the airport. Our two kids (age 6&8) had the sofa - actually two individual pull out beds rather than a single big one which was nice. Bus to airport directly outside was easy to catch at 5.30am. Helpful staff. Drop box check out good when making an exit to catch a flight.
Can't beat the location, in the very center of old town. Reasonable walk from the bus/train station, 15 minutes at the most. This town and hotel were selected to be able to stay overnight near the Munich airport. There's a bus direct from the airport to central Freising. Very nice staff. Clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom is roomy.
I had a connection flight in the early morning, so I preferred to pay a hotel night instead of sleeping in the airport, the checkin was so fast, it helped me to sleep more time, when leaving in the early morning, the hotel receptionists helped me to book a taxi, that was very helpful!
Nice little Gasthaus in Freising. The room was comfortable and clean. The gentleman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The next morning, we enjoyed the cafe across the street before making the short drive to Munich Airport.
We love the hotel and facilities. The reception team is amazing and the little village is beautiful to walk around and explore. The tea in the room has an excellent quality and the coffee too. Wifi works great and the shuttle service to the airport for a small fee was excellent
This was our second stay at the hotel. We wished the hotel were closer to the airport, but the town of Freising is lovely. We ate at a local restaurant that was just a 10 minute walk. We've eating in the Loden, the hotel's bar, and it was excellent.
The Hotel is in a great location for visiting Freising and the Munich area, with the excellent facilities and service you would expect from a Marriott hotel. The staff were wonderful at all times, and the room was very comfortable.
Walking distance to Freising train station, which is only 13 mins to the airport. A practical option for a long layover or before an early departure. Easy check in and there are vending machines for snacks/drinks.
Check in was simple. Free water and coffee was available 24 hours. Hotel is very quiet even though it sits by major roads. Easy access to airport, though hotel doesn't provide transportation.
outstanding value during ocktoberfest. Close to train station and airport. I left something in closet, contacted hotel and had it waiting when we flew out. Great communication
Typical airport hotel, provided what is needed for a short stay before an early morning flight: a clean room, a decent bathroom/shower and a bar for a late drink and food
The hotel is quite good. It is easy to get to Munich airport by car or by public transport (closer than Munich itself). There is hotel parking behind the building.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. We were only there for about 12 hours since we arrived late and had to catch an early flight. Easy 15 minute drive to airport
Nice hotel, a bit older, but very clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and room was comfortable. Great breakfast and convenient location for Munich Airport.
I need to take an early flight. As the hotel is close to airport, they help me to arrange a taxi which cost me EUR38. The service is prompt and efficient.
