3rd trip to Valga. both the last two I stayed here. I made a good decision to return and will again
A recently renovated apartment, Rics Apartment offers accommodations in Valga. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge.
Aare Home Accommodations offers rooms with free Wi-Fi. It lies in the border town of Valga, 1.6 mi from Latvian border. The rooms all feature a TV, as well as a bathroom with a shower.
Valga is kinda meh. Not bad, but also not somewhere you would recommend to someone. You can do everything in the town in 1-3 hours. If you're going from Estonia to Latvia by train, make sure you time the train right because there's only 2 trains per day.
You don't want to have to stay in Valga. It's kind of a boring border town. Sure come out, go see the world's most relaxed border crossing, but it's really anti-climatic.
Defiantly don't book an expensive hotel because you'll regret it. Book Yasmina if you have to stay in Valga, super cheap and comfortable and you won't feel like you wasted your money (as much).
A great modern apartment in the heart of Valga town with a very stylish wooden/Scandic design, which makes your stay really cosy and warm. A lot of candles and nice decorations. Fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, utensils, etc. First we were impressed by the house, which is an old one wooden two-store building missing some fresh painting and care, but the interior really exceeded our expectations.
Nice place with a well-equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom with two single beds and windows to the backyard (with decent window covers so it's actually dark at night). Everything there you need, and a very friendly and helpful host. Perfect place to stay in Valga - very close to both the Estonian and Latvian town centre, but a little tucked away.
Before I arrived there, I was communcating with the owner who told me how to get there. When I got there, I was welcomed by the owner. She explained the inside of the hotel. I was only guest at that night, so I was able to relax. It is very quiet area.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! The hotel was clean inside and outside. There was an on-site restaurant that was open late and the food tasted delicious. The location of the hotel was good as well.
Hotel is beautifully decorated with stuffed animals. That was especially interesting for child.
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, although variety could have been better.
The room is cosy and warm, very comfortable bed. The owner didn't speak English but seemed friendly enough. Convenient location if you are arriving by train into Valga Station.
Helge was the nicest host, the house is clean and the room is very comfortable. If you don't mind some walking, I definitely recomment staying here in Valga.
