We've been coming here for the last 3 yrs and there is always something more to see or do. The kids loved the horse riding at Picadero de Caballos El Cortijillo just a short 10 drive out of town. Lovely people and the horses looked well cared for. we also enjoyed eating at Cosmic burger with the kids, and Pizzeria Restaurante La Forchetta.
The location was magical--in the woods--isolated, but close to other restaurants and shops and hiking scenery. The room was on a higher floor with good views, as requested. The grounds were well maintained. And the breakfast was excellent--all I had to do was ask, and I received! Very enjoyable and relaxing. The decor of the hotel is absolutely beautifully artistic--a reason I look for this type of hotel (with character and thoughtful attention to detail).
Amazingly friendly host, he was helpful and very kind. The location is perfect for a quiet get away- lots of hiking and nature routes right out the front door. Just a five minute drive from the little town of Arroyo Frio - full of restaurants and people coming there to eat and drink, and near to the pretty town of Cazorla for more sightseeing. Tasty but simple Spanish breakfast - tostada con tomate y jamón or jam.
Very rural area with stunning views
Room was small but had it's own fairly large balcony
Food was very good
Staff were very friendly and helpful even with a language barrier, with a lot of pointing and a bit of google translate we even managed a bit of a laugh and joke with the owner
Fantastic scenic route to and from the hotel (wouldn't recommend a learner or a nervous though...great for motorbikers ;) )
The hotel is nice, very well located. The pool area is great when you just want to relax for some time. We had breakfast in the hotel even though we didn't have it included and it was good. The room is nice and clean, a small balcony would be big plus! :)) In general everything good and would definitely recommend it.
excellent hotel for touring sierra de cazorla . we had a Lovely room with balcony overlooking the lake and swimming pool . Huge choice at breakfast .Staff were at all times helpful and very friendly .
This hotel is about Eight minutes drive from Arroyo Frio
The hotel has a number of interesting features and lots of artefacts from its time as a monastery. Gardens and pool area are all well maintained and very colourful at the time we were there.
