I was extremely sick possibly with food poisoning or maybe a vomiting bug. When I checked in I mentioned to the lady in charge that I was unwell and may need to stay a 2nd night if possible.
I was so weak and unwell that when I checked into my room at 12 (midday) I never left. I had not and could not eat anything for over 48 hours.
At 8pm the lady who worked there came to my room and knocked on the door. She asked if I was okay and if I needed anything.
I asked her could I buy some water and she brought me up a large bottle. She was very kind and when I was at my most vulnerable and weakest it was nice to know someone cared.
I would highly recommend staying here simply for the kindness which restored my faith in humanity 💚 Thank you again. I am much better now and only 150km from Santiago de Compostella 😊👍

The place was pretty much what you’d expect from an albergue, though if you just want a beer in the adjacent bar then you have to sit outside should there be too many dinners.

Lara the receptionist was fantastic. She answered all our questions, arranged taxis, etc. Nicolas the manager was very anxious to make our stay pleasant. We arrived in the morning before the checkin time. He worked hard to get us in our room and when that didn't work because of cleaning, he arranged to store our luggage as we explored the town.
