NH Ciudad de Zaragoza, hotel in Zaragoza

Set in Zaragoza’s historic center, NH Ciudad Zaragoza is 984 feet from the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. It offers modern rooms, most with Basilica or River Ebro views.

Hotel location is fantastic! It was great looking at the wonderful Zaragoza Plaza Der Pilar and to the gorgeous cathedrals from the windows (of our room). We walked everywhere and we also wre able to park our car at the hotel parking lot. It is very hard to find a hotel with parking facility (not public but private hotel parking). Hotel breakfast was really good with many options on the buffet.

Zaragoza is a clean and safe city full of history, great...

Zaragoza is a clean and safe city full of history, great restaurants, and cafés and easy transportation. We have been to much of Spain but didn't really know anything about Zaragoza. We booked it on a whim. While fairly close to Madrid I think that it is off the beaten path of English speaking people. We encountered the Spanish language almost exclusively but we had zero problems communicating with the lovely people that we encountered. We adored this beautiful place.

20 minutes from the city center. On the face of the hotel it was not appealing, however the interior was clean and pleasant, the staff helpful and polite with the Spanish restaurant a bonus. Would definitely stay again and for longer

Ancient city with some spectacular architecture.

Ancient city with some spectacular architecture. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Walkable and seemed safe. The Palacio de la Aljafería is a spectacular Mujedar style castle, well worth a visit. Plan on a lot of businesses closing in the afternoon and re-opening in the evening. I would have stayed a little longer to see more of the Roman ruins which are in different places in the old city, but it was a pleasnt one-day stop.

Zaragoza is a great City to visit. Two days are enough to see all. If you are staying longer, consider hiring a car and undertaking a day trip north to Alquezar for one day and south to the 'Monasterio de Piedra' on another.

Lovely Islamic-era palace, though probably not as impressive as those further south, which I've yet to visit. Interesting Roman ruins. Views of old Zaragotha are great if you cross the bridge to the more modern half of the city. Not too touristy; some good and reasonably-priced cafes and restaurants and mouth-watering food market. Running out of things to do after than 2-3 days - though it's not a bad place to sit in a square and read.

I spent three days in Zaragoza and there was plenty to do.

I spent three days in Zaragoza and there was plenty to do. The historic buildings are outstanding, especially the Basilica, which I found myself visiting again and again. It's scale and grandeur are truly remarkable. There's a very large park which is beautiful and varied, and connected to the park is an extensive forest with nature trails.....great for walking adventures. I'd recommend visiting in mid March as the city celebrates the french siege of 1808 with a spectacular reenactment in the streets. The zaragozans are such nice friendly people and the evening city life is wonderful. I've been to several Spanish cities and Zaragoza is my favourite.

Great location for the old town. I walked from the train station which took about 50min. Comfortable clean rooms. I hadn't paid for breakfast but they offered for me to opt out of room cleaning in return for a free breakfast for a couple of mornings, brilliant! I was able to reserve parking in their parking area for the one night I needed it, I just asked at reception in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to walk to a car rental place about 30min from the hotel. Great functional hotel for a stay in zaragoza.

The property is designed for business travelers heading to Zaragoza by train. If that's your purpose for the visit then this property will suit you fine. We were just staying overnight in Zaragoza and so we chose this hotel for convenience. However there wasn't many food options in around the train station and so one has to venture out to find food. It boasts huge rooms and super comfortable beds, but the bathroom amenities are showing its age and we had no luck connecting to the hotel's Wi-Fi.

Location was good - maybe 15 minutes by foot to the centre. Tram stop and train station less than 5 minutes away if not feeling like making the effort of walking. There's a lovely, public park within walking distance where you can enjoy the greenery, take in the sun and do a spot of (not pervy) people-watching of the locals. Supermarket, cafes, bakeries, and a yummy ice cream parlour all very nearby. So too is the football stadium, if you want to take in a Zaragoza game.

The cheapest hotel in our travels through Spain, but far and away the best location. No hotel parking, but the city's underground car park came up 20 meters from the hotel entrance. The hotel is on the main city square and our window actually overlooked the square and the activities going on. A short hop to bars and restaurants in a very nice city. Recommended on location alone, but nothing really detracted from the stay.

I always stay at Hotel Sauce when I'm passing by Zaragoza . I went on a rock climbing trip to Albarracin and stayed at Zaragozza for a night . I always try to get the room with a view of the street . The air-conditioning was particularly good . The only complaint I had was that the bathtub was missing the plug so I couldn't take a bath . Showering can be a bit slippery .

Right in the Gancha district equidistant from the Basilica and Aljaferia Palace. Parking in Zaragoza central zone is not easy but this hotel has an under ground garage. It was tight for an American driver used to a lot of space but manageable. I’d advise only a small car but I did see a small SUV down there!
