Montaigu is a small quiet village in the Lot Valley but has a bakery, butcher, small supermarket and petrol station and is a friendly place. It would be a good base for touring and also for walkers. It is about an hour from Moissac (small local roads but totally navigable). A good place to chill.

A quiet, quaint and attractive rural French visit.

A quiet, quaint and attractive rural French visit. Has good range of local shops for self catering, but also some good local restaurants. Easy to get to and near a lake with a beach, some good walks and beautiful countryside and chateaus. The Saturday market was fabulous, as were the pastries from the patisserie!
