The town is lively and full of young energetic people of color. It felt like home. It is difficult to find people that don't speak French here so be prepared to do quite a bit of Google Translate. This however is not a complaint just an observation for non-French speaking people.
Food establishments are diverse and if you love African food I'd recommend placing aon order through Uber eats. I'd recommend a vendor called Foodside. Very yummy filling food.
There's a water body nearby where a lof of the young people hang out its quite peaceful and not unruly.
I felt somewhat safe but one should always be careful and vigilant wherever they travel to. The streets are quite thin and its difficult to find parking so leave your car the the hotel and explore the town on foot or public transport.

We were only travelling through France at short notice to get to Calais and this was a good stop off location for us. The hotel was more than we'd liked to have paid but France is always expensive!!! Our room had a double bed and 2 single beds!!! It was very cramped ...... they obviously only had a family room available!!! Bathroom was small but overall, everything was clean.
Super friendly and welcoming staff! Extremely clean hotel with a secure parking lot behind the hotel. We loved the breakfast and dinner served at the hotel. Having a bar and lounge area was very nice. The hotel is easy to find from the main motorway. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I liked the beds. They are not soft, but a bit harder. Gave me really good sleep. Also the location is nice in a park, not very loud (though you do hear the people smashing the doors outside your room in the morning).
Also the parking is great just next to the hotel.
The pool was great and warm

You can easily make this hotel part of your holiday adventure
Lovely staff happy to go beyond the expected to help, very clean hotel, comfortable beds, very good breakfast. We stopped there on our way back to the UK and will surely be staying again. We travelled as a family of 5 with 3 children aged 10, 4 and 3.
The motel was quick to find and parking was available on arrival. The hotel did little to offer dining options for the night. They were able to check us in late and the rooms were reasonably sized and the beds available were as expected
The hotel is simple and clean. A little run down in places but nothing short of fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. we were provided with towels but no soap.
