This property is in the commune of Surques but not in the centre of the village. Because it gets dark early in November, I had no real chance to explore, but it's in a quiet rural location and a good place for a breath of country air. Personally, I would give the property 5 stars rather than 3; it had everything I wanted for a break in my journey into France and back to England. When next I go, the days will be longer and I think I'll also be able to enjoy a good walk after being stuck in the car.

Surques itself has little to offer, however the surrounding countryside is very pleasant and the accommodation had leaflets describing various walks. La Coupole is worth visiting, though dogs are not allowed.

Everything was first class. Fabulous room, great facilities, lovely host,delicious food, great location. I can’t rate it highly enough. Easily the best accommodation we have had for the price. An exceptional manor.

This is the perfect place to stop with your dogs. It has self catering facilities if you want to use them or a restaurant with good value food. Really clean, comfortable and quiet.
Really clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was great, home made jams and cake. Very nice people and dog friendly. It is off the beaten track so no close resturant when theirs is closed but a chip shop and pizza place close enough to take food back to the hotel to eat.KeithUnited Kingdom
