Bed was comfortable, air con kept room cool, great location for us, room great size. Have stayed here quite a few times before but getting a bit outdated or just needs a bit more extra cleaning etc.

Staff were amazing. Connor was a great bar man with interesting conversations and helpful advice. And Sophie was also extremely helpful and made everything easy after a long day. They were both a credit to Garvock. A tip is coming by the end of this week for them both. The grounds are amazing and I had a fantastic nights rest in a lovely comfortable bed.

a lovely village with interesting church, castle and gardens, even a train station for quick access to Edinburgh, Perth, etc. Would have liked more time there as spent one day doing the nearby Dalmeny trail half marathon.

Loved the hotel and the surrounding village. The Silver Sands beach and cafe only a 10 minute walk away. Wonderful place to go and chill out for a couple of days. Ideal for walkers or those who just want to take short drives around the East coast.

The hotel was clean and The Staff where lovely the only problem was wee could not sit in the bar to have a drink as the tables were all booked for food
So wee had to leave the hotel to go and have a drink Then come back to our room until
it was time for us to go down for our meal we found it very inconvenient and strange as most off the tables where booked for locals .

Aberdour is small and easy to get round though there is a steep walk to the harbour. There are several interesting gift and art shops as well as enough eating places to keep you going during the day and in the evening. The library advertises events which visitors can join in with, for example while I stayed there was a talk about the Lewis Chessmen, followed by refreshments and craft sales. The railway station is on the main line to Edinburgh and there are also good bus services to north and south of the town for visitors without their own transport. It is a beautiful town with short walks on lovely coastal and country routes.
Our room was outside of the hotel, which I thought was a bit odd at first, however the room was above a small courtyard which was nice. The staff were friendly and very attentive and we had lovely breakfasts and dinners on both days. We were only a short walk away from the beaches. My only criticism is the room could be updated but it was clean and we had all we needed, ie tea, coffee, mugs, glasses and hairdryer!
We hired the hotel for our wedding. The space was fantastic for our group of 24. John (owner) was extremely helpful and helped us to contact local business owners and went over and above to help make the prep on the run up to the day as smooth as possible.
We had a fantastic stay and we absolutely loved using the different areas for different parts of our day.
Thank you!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely happy to help and this made us feel very welcome . The food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and we were all very happy with our meals, including our two year old that can be fussy at times.
a gorgeous quaint cottage in the peaceful town of Aberdour! it was great to come back to this tranquil location after a day exploring the busy city of Edinburgh! the bed and facilities were all perfect! especially having the sea a stones through away! loved it, would definitely go back
Aberdour is very well served with local shops, cafes and pubs. Garden Cottage is only 100 metres walk from a quiet beach and small harbour serving the local yacht club. Easy travel into Edinburgh; 30 mins by train. Kids (of all ages) will enjoy the trip over the Forth Rail Bridge.
The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We were a large family group and loved the space. The facilities were great too.
All the rooms we had en suites which was also great. Beautiful park across the road and beautiful beach a short distance away.
Beautiful cottage, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Very calming and relaxing, lovely garden space for warmer weather. Within easy walking distance of Aberdour beach and you can watch the boats from the bedroom window.
This hotel is ideal for family gatherings/parties. I would highly recommend to anybody planning a large gathering of any kind. Ideally located for sire seeing or just quiet walks. Very satisfied customer.
Aberdour is a lovely village right on the train line from Edinburgh. We really enjoyed the hotel with its comfortable rooms, great staff and tasty food. We would like to visit again.
This hotel was perfect for my stay with my dog. Tjr staff couldn't do more to make me and Brophy comfortable. Aberdour is really pretty and the hotel was well located for exploring.
