Room was ok, but I could hear neighbours TV working till 2am, people talking outside (ground floor, window open) at 7am, so not a quiet night sleep, unfortunately. Maybe on higher floors it’s better.

The Angel is a 16th century former coaching inn and maintains its many period features. My room was Lord Nelson (205) - the rooms feature the names of famous guests - with a bedroom, separate sitting room and a bathroom. It is extremely spacious, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The location on the high street makes it ideal for exploring the town. The reception staff were super-friendly, welcoming and helpful.
