Upgraded to a larger room for absolutely no reason! Staff were very friendly, professional and polite. The large room was beautiful (looks recently refurbished) the only complaint would be the damp musty smell in the bathroom and the creaky floors. The bed was super comfy.
This historic inn offers great accommodation, excellent food, fine wines and real ales. The rooms and bathrooms at Bowl Inn have recently been refurbished, and all feature a Freeview TV.

Had a lovely room with really nice decor. Comfortable spacious bed, warm shower, coffee/tea facilities. Loved the accommodation. Friendly staff. Sorted out some chocolates and a birthday banner for my boyfriend upon arrival. Will be back! Thank you 😊
With views across to the River Severn, this hotel is located in the rural village of Almondsbury but within 2 minutes’ drive of the M4 and M5 motorways.

My room was clean and comfortable, the full English breakfast was excellent; and the staff were helpful and friendly. The property overall is set in pleasant grounds away from the main roads and motorway so there is no noise, but the motorway is easily accessible within 5 minutes. Finally, the price was almost the same as at the nearby Travel Lodge!

The room was very comfortable and the view was great. The decor of the hotel was very stylish but also relaxed. There was a nice terrace for guests overlooking Bristol and the full English breakfast was a treat.
Dreadful link to the local taxi service. The one booked never showed up so I had to drive to central Bristol and pick my car up in the morning. Ruined the timing for the following day. No matter that the hotel does not control the taxi service, they MUST get a reliable link. Cannot afford to risk the same thing again so am forced to go elsewhere. Pity.

The small village is a great place to stay.
The small village is a great place to stay. There’s a real community vibe to the village. A community shop staffed by volunteers provides a decently priced and wide array of products. The church is lovely. On a couple of occasions I needed information and locals went to great lengths to assist me.
The bell ringing practice on Monday night was unexpected, but that shows the level of community involvement. That was the only noise I heard apart from usual pub interactions which weren’t too bad.

I stayed as a drop off point to Cardiff from Central England. Glad I did. Was really cheap but everything was above expectations. I usually use premier inn and this hotel was every bit as good. Highly recommended.

Since I was going on a business it was ok.
As this is the second time this year that I have left the isle of Man and travelled to England, and had poor or medioca hotel and restreaunt/cafe service, I am comming to the conclusion that ,since the end of covid, much of the Englsh hospitality industry is hell bent on recovering their losses, that they want to srew as much money as possible out of clients, not caring too much about the service they offer. I am jolly glad when leaving the Island, I had a good breakfast on the ferry, not waiting until I arrived in England for a meal.

Almondsbury is just outside Bristol, but it felt further out into the country. Pretty village with a beautiful old church with an amazing Inn next door. Wonderful views across to the River Severn and across to Wales. Very easy to find.

Beautifully refurbished hotel with modernised interior and parking place next to it at no extra cost. Excellent food at breakfast and diner time. The location is close to the main road, which gives some traffic noise but not a lot. With closed windows it can't be heard. The room is spacious and clean, looks very modern, has airco and thick curtains. Excellent value for money.
The hotel is beautiful. Well laid out and inviting. The only thing that I would say to improve it would be better lighting in the room as it isn't bright enough to read a book. A spare blanket would have been appreciated as well. I didn't see the plug in heater until the morning because the lighting is so dim. Other than that I highly recommend it. The breakfast and coffee were good. Chef and waiting the staff very good.
Another lovely stay at The Bowl Inn. The room decor was decorated in a classic yet contemporary style, plenty of low level lighting, the bed was comfortable but firm and the free parking is a bonus. Lots of choice for breakfast which was of a very high standard. Finally, the location is only 25 minutes from the Clifton area of Bristol yet is a very quiet village location.
Cozy pub with rooms in small village setting. Parking opposite. Rooms great with comfy king size bed. Bathroom small but fine for a few nights. Very nice menu selection for both breakfast and lunch/ dinner. We had breakfast and dinner on the 3 days we stayed and everything was delicious. My gluten free needs accommodated with ease. Well run pub - lovely staff.
it’s an old inn but everything is redone and very nice inside. the staff was friendly and welcoming. good and drinks were great. plus location off the highway can’t be beat but you still get a small town feeling. If you follow the path out the back of the church up a steep hill you get to a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. highly recommend the bowl inn.
Pleasant staff in Pub bar area who explained the rooms were in annex building.
Bar has nice menu. Possible to just get a quick snack. Obviously popular bar - parking was nearly full.
Hotel room met needs for a twin room, coffee/tea making, tv, ensuite bathroom with shower in bath.
Hotel is convenient to motorways/main roads.
Lovely quiet village location but close to major road and rail networks as well as Bristol. Very comfortable bed with nice personal touches of sleep spray and sanitizer as well as a good selection of teas and coffee. Friendly staff. Good breakfast
Room was spotless, bed was very comfortable, tv was huge, breakfast was tasty, staff were friendly and helpful, pizza was delicious, great value for money and would definitely recommend and stay again. Great for visiting the new Bristol Zoo.
The hotel was a budget hotel and for that was okay. Furnishings and fittings were tired and dated. The breakfast was good for a buffet style and plenty of it. Beware cad only, no cash. Was not informed of this.
Recently renovated rooms are nice and fresh and bring the hotel up to scratch. We stayed before out of necessity for work but now would chose it when we have to come to stay in Bristol over others.
I found this hotel during my roadtrip and booked it instantly .Did not expect much , however it was very clean and money worthy .Location is very convenient, easy to find ,just near the highway.
Very friendly people and the manager was very accommodating. He booked us breakfast at the hotel next door as this wasn't included. The restaurant and food at the Swan was excellent.
Country location north of Bristol but access to the motorway networks to M4 and M5. Close to both Bristol and Bath. Nice homely pub, decent food.
Friendly staff.
