The house felt very comfortable and welcoming, it had everything we needed. Having the enclosed garden was great for the dog & our whippet loved the heat of the conservatory.
The location is great, a nice walk to the harbour and main town as well as a brilliant base to explore further afield.
Would definitely go back!

What a lovely place to break my journey to Scotland and find out what the Amble puffin festival is all about. The room is a large suite with incredibly comfortable bed, open top bath and separate shower room. Sparkling water and orange juice as well as tea and coffee and croissants were all provided. The food in the pub was outstanding with a seafood bias. The Harbour Inn is literally a step from the harbour with beautiful views down the estuary to Warkworth Castle and out o sea to Coquet Island. I would definitely like to return!
In the heart of the village of Warkworth, this 18th-century coaching inn offers 3-star hotel accommodation less than a mile from the Northumberland coast.

What a gorgeous hotel - warm, cosy, clean and welcoming and the staff were wonderful. We had evening and breakfast at the hotel both of which were delicious. Location is perfect, there is a small car park onsite. There is also free public parking just behind the hotel. Warkworth is a beautiful little village with an impressive English Heritage castle 5 mins walk away and Warkworth beach is a 2 mins drive away. Would definitely make a return visit.
The Sun Hotel is set opposite Warkworth Castle, on the banks of the River Coquet. This hotel features a traditional pub housed in a 17th-century coaching inn.

Excellent location opposite the castle. The adjoining pub was relaxed and comfortable. The room was nice, clean and comfortable.

Amble has a couple of good seafood restaurants - we especially liked the Fish Shack - and nice pubs, but is otherwise very quiet. There are nice walks along the harbour and river. It’s a good location for exploring the area. We walked on Banburgh beach and took an excellent boat trip from seahouses. A couple of complaints- everywhere we went, staff sprayed tables with strong smelling spray which caused an allergic reaction and put us off our food! Also, it was difficult to find a café in nearby towns.

The Northumberland Coast is beautiful.
The Northumberland Coast is beautiful. Amble is a thriving, busy, friendly and interesting little town, with many independent little stores, cafes and groceries shops. Very good fish eateries with sea views and Amble's little harbour village shops are always worth a visit.

Amble has been a favourite destination for a number of years now and have noted how it has gradually become more popular probably due to the increase in lovely retail units down by the harbour and a good range of restaurants. At its heart, Amble is still a working port which in itself is part of its charm. The Old Boat House is always high on our list when we visit - anyone that likes fish has to try it - you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely harbour and varied facilities. Up and coming area. Great food at Harbour Inn and drinks at Hummingbird. Able to walk to Warkworth, a beautiful medieval village with Castle and beach. Area unspoilt and only short drives to other great places such as Alnemouth, Alnwick and Beadnell.

Cleanliness of general areas and specifically the room.
Cleanliness of general areas and specifically the room. Plenty of hot water extra pillows for bed. Clean towels daily.
We are relocating to Amble this was just an overnight stay but well WORTH IT. The staff are ALL warm & friendly and the food is of excellent quality.
Have stayed once before 2 wks prior and will be staying again shortly hopefully if we manage to have a room before end of the month.
Have nothing really to say negatively for us this was a true gem of a pot luck find. Amble is fine for walking as mainly flat.
Not far from the beach. A fair few of places to eat although we just stayed at the Amble inn & as the fare was so good didn't need to go elsewhere.
