We only ended up in the hotel more or less by accident, and got what was probably the last room (overlooking the car park). Yes, it's fairly typical of a lot of Scottish hotels built in the last century but one - slightly faded and clinging on to its Victorian glories. But the room was clean and quiet (all those stone walls), the staff were very kind and helpful and the food was excellent and unpretentious. A really nice place to stay, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Park Lodge Hotel is in the quieter, upper part of Tobermory, Scotland, a short walk from the busy harbour front. The rooms are comfy and modern, and evening meals are available.

Service was excellent although, server brought out fruit and toast and pot of tea, although I didn't receive full Scottish breakfast as discussed. No potato scone nor black pudding. Very central location and host was excellent. Luck to get this accommodation at short notice due to missing ferry by 3 minutes.

Lovely quiet spot with great views. Caravan had everything we needed and a surprisingly lovely shower. Comfy beds.
The cottage was lovely with views over to Mull.
It was beautifully furnished and had all items you would look for in a self-catered property.
I would recommend that you bring food with you, as the nearest shop was about a 30 minute drive away

A beautiful old mill steading refurbished with obvious love...
A beautiful old mill steading refurbished with obvious love and attention to detail. Great views from the upstairs window over to Mull. A wide and diverse range of artwork on the walls.
It is quite a distance to the nearest shop so you need to come prepared, although our hosts did provide some lovely fresh salad leaves and herbs from their garden. Due to Covid, most of the places to eat in Lochaline were closed but the Whitehouse Restaurant has a fabulous reputation.
