Great pub for beer - Camra with lots of real ales and friendly atmosphere. Great shower although water temperature variable. Cooked breakfast very generous and nicely prepared; good cafetiere coffee and lovely big pot of tea. Quiet street near centre for meals (which we knew weren't available at pub).

A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm.
The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.

Charlie and Lucy were very friendly and hospitable and made us feel at home right away. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable and the views from the farmhouse were fabulous. The breakfasts were made, where possible, with fresh produce from the farm and beautifully cooked. A real home away from home.

There is so much to do in Bridport.
There is so much to do in Bridport. There are many pubs and restaurants and events. There is even a street market twice a week and a good variety of shops. Everything is within walking distance or you can take a bus. The beach is less than 2 miles away. Lots of hotels. Many charity shops. Very safe and friendly with narrow streets and oldie worldly charm and architecture. Good night life with theatre and music events to attract all ages. Good surrounding countryside for walks and pub meals. There is even a guided walk round the brewery.

There are so many places of interest both in and around Bridport. In the town itself there are plenty of places to both eat and drink. The buses take you to most of the surrounding places both big and small. But there are also very reasonable taxi services. Walking around Bridport is a joy as there are so many things to see and it has an interesting history. I can't think of any places I'd avoid.

Our stay was in West Bay just over a mile from Bridport. West Bay offers several choices of restaurant each offering local sea food. With its picturesque harbour there is plenty to see and do. From deep sea fishing trips to catching crabs or small fish around the harbour and pier. The cliff walks are spectacular as are the walks along the coastal paths. There are swimming pools in and around West Bay along with squash, badminton, tennis and table tennis facilities.

Great choice of pubs and restaurants in town, any staff I encountered were excellent. There’s a cinema, museum and plenty of independent shops for wet days. Decent bus service too to other places including Weymouth, Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Axminster.

Bridport is a nice little town with friendly people.
Bridport is a nice little town with friendly people. We like micro-brewery beer and there is a nice brewery in Bridport that gives great tours. We really wanted to visit West Bay and that was close and very nice. The whole area is very scenic.
The Position : close walking distance to the sea but away from the day visitors
The View : from our bedroom was splendid - sea and beautiful farm land …. Aaaaaah Devon
The Staff : the nicest, most attentive team my wife and I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Truly amazing service … better than a 5 star hotel
The Food : so many options to choose from and the ones we chose were delicious …. Even breakfast! Top Chef taste and presentation … delivered to your table by the amazing team
It’s like one of those cute little inns you read about or see in the movies. My partner and I were the youngest people staying there which was kinda funny. But it was so lovely there, and comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfasts were all great and I do wish we could’ve had it on our last day but our train was early in the morning.
I will definitely stay at this place again if we do go back to Dorset!!
Breakfast was superb and the set price 3-course dinner, which changed every day, was high quality and good value. We had planned to dine out 50% of the time but we dined in the hotel restaurant every evening. We thought the hotel had done a very good job in managing the Covid-19 restrictions. We also appreciated the hotel's ethos in sourcing whatever they could locally.
As we always find with Wetherspoon hotels, the staff were consistently good, always helpful.
When three of our six were served cold breakfasts, replacements were served. When these were still only half acceptable, a refund was given.
Two of our three rooms were spacious, the third was very small. But all agreed that the beds were comfortable!
Good location - easy walk to West Bay and not too far to Bridport. Very comfortable upstairs twin room with a fine view to the west. Large ensuite bathroom. Beds were fine. Very good wi-fi. Very good breakfast with lots of choice and cooked to order. Friendly and informative host. Off-road parking. Very Covid-safe.
A lovely ,very old hotel with lots of history right in the centre of Bridport. Our room was large and comfortable with organic locally produced toiletries. Downstairs were cosy bars and the dining room and a garden .Lots of choice for breakfast. . Most importantly the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Excellent location to explore some of the lovely coastal areas of Dorset (eg Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Portland, Chessil Beach, West Bay, etc). The staff are welcoming and friendly. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast and dinners in a lovely setting. The bathrooms are great with a whirlpool tub and tv.
Excellent location in the centre of Bridport and very easy to find. Good sized living space and bedrooms. Lots of local information provided and the small library on the second floor landing was great. Loved the 'little touches' around the apartment.
Room with small kitchenette and en-suite which is very flexible and suited me. Hosts made every effort to make me feel; welcome with some very nice christmas touches. Great location near to Bridport centre but still quiet at night.
Great property, right on the beach. Lovely quiet site with only a handful of other properties. Spacious rooms and enough storage for a family of 4. In the small village of Eype but only 10 minutes from Bridport or West Bay.
A very comfortable apartment in Bridport. we stayed here on our southwest coast path walk and found it a great break from hotel and bnb accommodation. The unit is spacious and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen.
Lovely hotel, great decor and super friendly staff. They really make you feel very welcome and they were great at welcoming and treating our dog!!! The breakfast was also beautiful and the outdoor bar was also really nice!
Lucy & Charlie are great hosts. we enjoyed their company as well as the accommodation and their hospitality.
The views of Dorset countryside were excellent. it’s not far from beaches at Seatown, West Bay and Lyme Regis.
Excellent location for West Bay and coastal walks. Bridport was a bit of a walk but do-able (we weren't driving!). Very handy having a Spa within a short walking distance. House was clean and well organised.
Excellent location; professional staff; entire hotel neat & clean.
We were walking the SW Coast Path, so we were quite tired and sore. The spa tub (w/ plenty of hot water) was fantastic.
