Great breakfast and really nice that you could opt to have it in your room. Sam was incredibly friendly and informative.

The room was superb , good size, well decorated in modern colours, plenty of space around the king size bed and a great wet room styled ensuite with a walk in shower. The fittings in the ensuite were all first class and quality products and really spacious. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a large flat screen TV on the wall. The venue itself is a large pub with dining facilities both indoor and outdoor with a large rear outside space. and offers accommodation with multiple rooms downstairs and upstairs. The pub is not a town centre ' rowdy ' type attracting youngsters so even on a Saturday Bank Holiday weekend it was reasonably quiet with mainly diners in the pub areas and certainly no late licence to risk annoying residents. We decided to eat on the premises and there was a varied reasonably priced menu with 2 for 1 offers and the food was excellent. I cannot understand some of the mediocre food reviews for this site unless they have their own ' agendas ' to pursue as we couldn't fault the food or service and would definitely stay here again.

On our way to York, we stayed overnight to break the journey. Such a beautiful spot, a really lovely find. Dinner at a pub in Cranford, The Red Lion, booked by Sam our host. I can’t wait to come back and stay longer to enjoy the countryside.

Very comfortable stay lovely relaxing room beautifull garden excellent breakfast with plenty of choice lovely village would recommend the local pubs for good food sam is also available and gives you excellent advice on where to eat looking forward to our next vist
Beautiful property in the lovely village of Brigstock. The gorgeous, spacious rooms are located in an annex, which offers peace and privacy. There’s plenty to do in and around the village, with two pubs and a lovely coffee shop close by, with beautiful countryside and further villages in the vicinity. The breakfasts were delicious and the owners are welcoming, helpful and unobtrusive if you’re looking for a quiet stay. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Room was First class - better than many 5 Star hotels stayed in during past 40 years.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Sam, from Restaurant recommendations, to Hot Milk for my colleague.
Even a charging point for guests to charge their electric cars
A lovely setting on the edge of the village of Brigstock overlooking fields and local vineyards. The room was spacious and comfortable with a well stocked mini bar and home made cookies. The breakfast was great!
