Nestled on the edge of the New Forest National Park, the Avon Causeway Hotel is just 1 mile from Bournemouth Airport. With a bar and a restaurant, it is 10 minutes’ drive from Christchurch.

We booked all 12 rooms for family and friends attending a wedding nearby. We were really well looked after as a big group and very grateful to all the staff for their attention and service. We were suposed to stay for two nights, which would have been just right, but terrible weather(amber flood warnings) prevented that. Also we were not there for a holiday but family things so some questions not really appicable.

Plenty of shops and tea rooms, 3 pubs to dine in and taste the local food and drink. Postoffice and butchers with fresh bread and produce. Antique shops and souvenir lovely shops. Hotel was in a great location, but the kitchen struggled with the number of people wanting breakfast (our breakfast was just awful - 45 minute wait for cold food) and our evening meal was nothing special.

A lovely part of the country (although, sadly, my short stay coincided with winter) and this was a great location to stay as I spent a day at Beaulieu before planning to head to Southampton. I ate at my hotel (Burley Manor), which I can highly recommend for both dining and rooms. I didn't stay long enough to find any dissadvantages to the area, although my expectations may be somewhat higher if I were travelling during the summer months.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. We had been looking at this hotel online, and on speaking to friends they said they stayed at this hotel and would recommend it. This recommendation confirmed our decision to book this hotel. The hotel was clean and our room was very comfortable. Food was excellent, and could not be faulted. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk into Burley and gave us direct access on to the New Forest. Would definitely stay again.

A fantastic choice for breakfast but cooked food was of a moderate standard and very expensive. We upgraded our room for a treat and it was lovely, spacious, plush with plenty of bathroom toiletries. We decided not to eat at the hotel because the choice of dinner menu was not good so we ate at The White Buck and Burley Inn which were both very good meals and reasonably priced.

Beautiful stay in the New Forest - the hotel itself is amazing throughout. Our room was a decent size for a couple and with a powerful hot shower. Check in was easy with pleasant staff, as was breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here or with Fullers' other pub/hotels.
