We would definitely stay again, it's a very nice hotel and very convenient for family. The room was of an excellent standard and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.

The room was super spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We were very happy that the room had A/C because this is rare in the UK and we like it cold at night. They location was great and it was easy to walk to lots of different restaurants as well as coffee shops. There were multiple shopping areas in easy walking distance as well.

All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in (Herald) was lovely - despite lack of WiFi to watch Netflix and streaming but this was ok on your phones. The food was so good, a lot of choice, and presented well plus delivered on hot plates (which makes a change nowadays! We were there on a Thursday and they had quiz night so the bar/restaurant was busy later on - but we enjoyed this and partook in the quiz as well. The Friday night was also busy and it was lovely to see such a popular place.

its a wicked place as my daughter moved there with her partner and the grandchildren a few years ago the scenery is out of the world there is mountain bike tracks to use and lots of walking tracks to. you don't have to travel far from chesterfield itself to be in the countryside even travelling to chesterfield the scenery was breath taking its a must visit placeAAnonymous - 10Scored 10
Brilliant location for visiting Chatsworth House and...
Brilliant location for visiting Chatsworth House and Bolsover Castle. Loved the market town vibe and the twisted spire on the church was fascinating. No climbs inside, til the spring and summer though. Some fascinating architecture to see and a brilliantly helpful Tourist Information Office where we got a couple of town walk maps.Welch - 8.0Scored 8.0

The outdoor market...what a joke, only a handful of stalls! Not worth a trip. No disrespect to those who work there but the place was empty!!! We spent more money on parking!!! Nice meat purchased at the indoor market and theres a well stocked cheese shop. The council need to update their website and let travellers know what to expect from the town centre. Can't think of any reason to return.

We stayed in a slightly smaller room than normal but the facilities are just the same. All the meals were perfect. The four of us each had a different main course, as we always do, and everyone one of them was beautifully prepared. Would seriously recommend the chicken dinner. Breakfast was served in the “pub” and was similarly substantial with extra teas and coffee brought to us on request. Some hotels we frequent are not so generous. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower room was exceptional. There was no cooked food options on the premises but a well stocked breakfast basket was provided and recommendations for places to eat in the evening. We went to the recommended Galleon steak house and can fully endorse the recommendation.
