A wee hidden gem the pod was perfect and the location also. We had a great stay nice and peaceful. The added bonus was catching the sunrise in the morning and an awesome starry night. Not a bad part to mention.

I would like to leave nothing but positive feedback for the royal hotel, me and my partner would definitely use the hotel again and recommend it to others to use it too! It was a pleasant experience with really nice approachable and welcoming staff, the room which we stayed in was lovely, I would rate the hotel 10/10 for service, cleanliness and value for money. Cumnock is a small town with limited amenities.
Cumnock is a small town with limited amenities. There are a few bars and a supermarket. There is also a Outlet store not far away which is worth a look. An hour by bus to Ayr . Locals were very friendly ( as always seems the case in Scotland)

The hotel was excellent value, had friendly welcome from receptionist, parked in their private car park, felt very comfortable as single female staying there one night. Breakfast was perfect and served in good time.
