First class, quiet valley stop. Beautiful setting. Top quality staff. Even better when the Llangollen staff are in charge. Edged the breakfast layout. Discursive and welcoming. Good place. Rooms where clean and compact. Very good makeover on a traditional welsh valley building.

Lovely, very helpful staff, comfortable rooms and delicious food both evening meal and breakfast. Thoughtful little touches like complimentary sherry and shortbread in the room. We saw that there were board games and books to borrow - just wish we had had more time there to enjoy the lovely garden.
Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has individual en suite bedrooms.

Lovely friendly staff and nice easy check in, vouchers to use at wine shop or food and drink really made us feel welcome. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the morning, would definitely book again.

Old-fashioned charm in the pub/dining area. Good-sized studio with handy kitchenette with cutlery, microwave, toaster and cooking utensils, Nice furniture and decor. Lovely thick carpet. Everything was clean. Toiletries, bottled water and cookies in room. Bedding looked relatively new. Comfy bed. Excellent location only short walk from the bus station. My room overlooked quiet car-park so could sleep well. 11am checkout I appreciated. Lovely hot shower.

Stayed here before, it's a beautiful spot & really nice I chose it because I have a 6months old puppy & k ew dogs were accepted. It's a lovely place in beautiful setting & lovely rooms, the only issue is no bar ...no drink served no pint no glass of wine or anything its advertised yet when I asked I was told my wife may open the bar later .....This place is really missing out it so could be a goldmine it could have a well stocked bar it could have a pizza oven van or burgers outside & a little music say bikers welcome its on the tip of horseshoe pass ... it could host rallies have camping pods & really do so well ! I love it & I am not criticising however it could make tons if it targeted the right market, beautiful setting beautiful buildings great outdoors spaces .....it seriously needs someone with passion & drive to help it out if I won't the lottery I'd make them an offer 100% it could be so much more its quite sad as its in a prime location yet feels tired xxxx I love it & will definitely visit again , I just think it's missing tons of opportunities................

Zimmer an sich war schön und auch wenn das Frühstück eingeschränkter war als in anderen Hotels, war das servierte Essen lecker. Das Flussrauschen war schön, wenn nicht gerade andere Gäste im Haus laut waren.
Great cottage and location. Loved the welcome pack and the ease to get into the property on arrival day. Just off A5 so easy to get to other visitor areas in North or Mid Wales but far enough off that you feel away from everything if you want to be. Great walks from the cottage. Our dog Oscar loved it as well and the cottage is very dog friendly.
Loved our visit and cannot wait to go back as soon as possible
