This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.

Beautiful location and accommodation, we felt totally at home as soon as we walked through the door. We had a spacious bedroom en-suite and a large hall and sitting room entirely to ourselves plus a garden terrace overlooking paddocks and beautiful Kent countryside. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room for colder days which is the type of detail which elevates a good stay into an outstanding one.

The unit was clean and tidy and provisioned with a range of breakfast cereals, bread and spreads and orange juice for breakfasts during the stay. There was also plenty of on site parking available. The unit was set back from the road , so there wasn't much traffic noise.

Lovely peaceful location with good options for a relaxing stroll.
Good garden.
Good restaurant food.
Good friendly service.
The property was clean and tidy. We had a lovely chat with the host on arrival and sorted out what we wanted to do that evening. Despite rain we got up early and went for a walk on the road heading toward Goudhurst listening to the birds and watching the rabbits and deer. E then had homemade muesli, and our wonderful cooked breakfast arrived exactly when we asked for it. The bedroom and living area were perfect for our overnight stay before travelling on to Gatwick (40 mins away) the following morning.
The Inn was beautiful throughout with attention to detail in all areas. The staff were attentive, polite, customer focussed and friendly. The food was delicious and the room was great. When Booking.com let us down with an error with their system and the customer service failed to attend to our problem which left us without option, The Goudhurst Inn came to the rescue! Great customer service! A huge thank you to Stacey, Michelle, Alex and team. We will be back 😊❤️ x
The rooms were so spacious and decorated beautifully. The hotel is very charming and you feel really at home. Everything was thought about with a variety of teabags, oat milk and even calming spray in the bathroom.
Had everything I needed and more! Staff very friendly and accommodating. I had a great sleep and the location was so beautiful to wake up to in the sunshine. Exceptional value for money!

The hotel was lovely, staff really friendly and they went beyond to help me with some requests which I appreciated. Room was beautiful and very spacious. The one thing I did not like was that I could not turn the towel rail off and I have a problem with heat but at least I could open the window fully which helped. The breakfast was really good.
Excellent Hotel and Bar with exceptional staff who were helpful, friendly and extremely accommodating of our needs. Lovely place to stay - comfortable, very clean. A home from home. Breakfast was beautiful and amazing pizza. Thanks for putting up with us x
The hotel is over 400 years old and has been furnished very pleasantly and traditionally. You are aware of a real sense of history. The staff are extremely obliging and polite and we had a good evening meal in the restaurant.
Quirky, historic hotel with very pleasant staff. Felt very welcome and plenty of room to sit and have a drink. Nice looking breakfast room and restaurant. Ham was nice at breakfast. Nothing too much trouble for staff.
We had a lovely night's stay at the Goudhurst Inn. Went with my partner and young dog. Beautiful, accomodations, very pet friendly. Great pub, great food and drink.
