The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel.

The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel. Check in 3pm and check out 11am was actually 4pm (as it did not open till 4pm) and check out was 10am. There was a menu, showing the prices and times the meals were available... BUT, There was no one at reception there were no meals (except breakfast) being cooked. The full English breakfast did not include sausages as there was none left and the milk was served in small plastic individual containers. The scrambled eggs and toast was served with two thin slices of toasted bread and no butter. (My wife said the eggs were dry and tasteless... disgusting was used several times). Breakfast was served between 7 and 9am .... (that was out by 9am ) we left 09:05 and the dining room door was locked behind us. The room was dirty, the window paintwork was flaky and chipped and cracked and blackened with moist. No safety measures in bathroom. ..... ... rubber bath/ shower mat or handrails. There was lots of black mould right around the bath. At the price of £99 per night I would have expected a lot more. I took quite a few photos to back up my claim if any one wants to see them. think a hotel inspector would have condemned the hotel

    Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet. Gorgeous location and a fabulous hamper was provided. The owners clearly care that guests should have everything they need to have a great stay. We were seeing family close by but it is a good central location for many attractions and Cambridge. There was a pub within walking distance where we had a nice meal and friendly staff.

Hotel is prominently located on the main road passing through Great Stukley which, in spite of its name is a small village. The room was large and well fitted out. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is very quiet at the weekend but I was told it is quite busy during the week. The evening meal,'bucket of fish' was cooked well and was good value and the breakfast had a good choice

Staff were friendly and working well in difficult conditions (under staffed and extreme heat etc). Hotel would benefit from a little tlc and a chair in the bedroom. Seating in the lounge was really comfy. Cooked breakfast was good.

It was a peaceful hotel with a bar and bar meals. I had an excellent full English breakfast. I also had a lovely scampi, chips and mushy peas the night before. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

I was warmly welcomed and offered a meal even though dinner was not being served that evening. The hotel is in a village and in a quiet setting.

It’s location, close to work, and it’s individuality. It has character, not like the clone hotels. And the food is fab.
