Room was very spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. Good selection of teas and coffee available in the room. Lovely shower.
Dinner in the restaurant was well presented and very tasty. The breakfast options were very good, delicious fresh fruit and home made selection of jam and marmalade the ginger jam was wonderful. Nicely cooked full English with other options available.
All the waiting on staff were very friendly as was the lady on the bar.
It was very quiet no motorway or traffic noise at all.
In Kendal town centre, the Riverside Hotel is a 17th-century building with a state-of-the-art leisure club. Rooms have river views, and Windermere and the Yorkshire Dales are 15 minutes' drive away.

The house was modern, clean and tidy. The location was great, with town just a 10 minute walk away, and right by the station. Parking in car parks can be expensive, but there are plenty of free on-street parking options available if you're willing to look.

This was probably the nicest self contained accommodation I've ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and comfortable and there were lots of extras that made it easy to stay there, such as tea and coffee and breakfast foods. The shower was powerful, parking was very easy and the owner was very accommodating. I hope to stay there again at some point.
