I had a wonderful stay at Belvedere Guest House. Allan is exceptionally kind and generous and he made me feel right at home straight away. He is also an incredible chef -- the "full vegetarian breakfast" he prepared for me was outstanding. My room was enormous compared to other rooms I've stayed in in the UK and felt like my own little private apartment. I slept very soundly on the comfy bed (the mattress was relatively soft with springs, which is what suits my body best), the views from the living room and dining room were stunning, the shower was like a light rainfall, and there was plenty of light in the room, which I very much appreciated when I read and wrote. It was a very short and lovely walk from Belvedere Guest House to the main street of Brodick, which itself runs right along the water -- I thoroughly enjoyed walking there. It's clear that Allan and his family love their home and take great care of it. Thank you for making me feel at home and for providing me with an excellent stay, Allan!
Strathwhillan House is located half a mile from the center of Brodick and just 5 minutes' walk from the ferry terminal.

Great location—very close to the ferry and the main shops in Brodick but a bit removed from it all. Felt very safe. Breakfast was pretty good and had various choices. Overall my room was pretty quiet. WiFi worked great. Significantly less expensive than a lot of other options on Arran.

The location was ideal for being able to experience all of Arran but also finding some peace and quiet. The little stream was loved by our dog and made sitting out on the decking all the more peaceful. Its a compact but very well thought out space. Hosts were super friendly & very helpful.
We found Lamlash to be the main town on the
island.

Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views.
There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier.
The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative.
Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).

Lamlash is a lovely village - 10mn bus from Brodick/ferry terminal - with some nice little shops and beaches from where you can admire the Holy Isle and also some seals who seem to love the area!
Few restaurants and a Co-op (supermarket) and the people there are very welcoming.

Lamlash is a great location to base yourself, only ten minutes from Brodick. Very easy to get around and everyone is friendly. Crabbing and pier jumping for the kids is recommended! However we visited the Drift Inn for dinner and could not recommend it.

Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle.
Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle. And the walk along the shore.
We ate at 3 local restaurants, the Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash Bay Hotel and Glenisle Hotel all of which served good food and had friendly staff. All on the shore road within easy walking distance from the property.
Extremely clean, Covid friendly, room 2 big and spacious. breakfast and evening meal beautiful. staff so nice and helpful. Our ferry was cancelled on our day we were meant to be going home due to high winds but the owner kept us our room and booked us in for breakfast and dinner as well. Perfect surroundings, on the water, pubs nearby and other restaurants as well (but my advice is eat at the hotel as it’s delicious and have drinks in the hotel pub as it’s gorgeous). Also a co-op is right next door if u want some goodies in ur room.
Wowzer, what an hidden gem in Lamlash this is. We were greeted by our host Emily with a big beaming smile and warm welcome, her attention to detail is fantastic, our room was brilliant, bed to die for with a garden view which is a twitchers paradise, corner bath and big rose head shower 👏👏, breakfast just delicious 😋 , great selection too suit everyone.
We've stayed in our fare share of hotels/Guesthouses over the years and this is up there, well done Emily.
Kind regards

Ann, the owner was lovely. Very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Very clean room and ensuite. Beds comfortable. Great breakfasts that set you up for the day. Good to have access to the table and chairs outside in the garden. Sea views from our room. Very easy walk into Lamlash; short walk to pebbly shore with good views to Holy Isle. Very handy to have the small fridge in our room. Towels changed on request. Free WiFi. Amazing daybreak if you can get up early enough.
This venue was quite special, right on the water looking out at the Holy Isle and in walking distance to a lovely cafe (The Old Pier Tearoom), pubs and shops in Lamlash. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and made sure we knew everything we needed to book the ferry to Arran for instance, really felt like they went out of their way to provide a great experience. The apartment itself was well stocked and sparkling clean with great views without even leaving the front door!
Our host Ute was very welcoming and took time to show us around and give us ideas and suggestions for our holiday. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable and provided everything we wanted. We loved the balcony and the views over to Holy Island were spectacular. The location was perfect for exploring Lamlash on foot and all the key activities on the island could be easily reached by car. We would definitely recommend.
Great location with even better views. The Sleep Huts are perfect for hikers and cyclists who only need accommodation to sleep. It's basic but has everything you need. The communal cook house is very nice and spacious for any cooking needs. I would definitely return to sleep huts next time I'm in lamlash.
Perfect location in a quiet part of Lamlash. Beautiful sea views. 15 mins from Brodick. The hosts provided everything to make. Full cooking facilities, smart Tv, down to details like Elastoplast, tea coffee fresh milk, laundry liquid. Too many to mention. Also friendly advice
The views from the breakfast room were lovely; having an elevated position looking across Lamlash Bay to the Holy Isle. The breakfast itself was a delight; plentiful, beautifully fresh, vegan ingredients, served by a very knowledgeable and friendly host and hostess
Brilliant stay at Monamore Guest House, couldn't fault a thing. Homemade shortbread & tablet in the room was a lovely wee touch. Located in a great location within walking distance to Lamlash with a couple of greats pubs & restaurants. We will definitely be back!
Lovely flat, and a handy location in Lamlash. Nice job on the decor, lots of nice touches throughout.
Clean and very comfortable.
Easy check in, good instructions, and lots and lots and good quality local information of where to go and how to get around.
Meg and staff were wonderful hosts. Meg gave us wonderful assistance with sorting out our travel changes when the ferry off the island was cancelled at the end of our stay. Highly recommend the hotel to other travellers
we stayed here for 3 nights. The property was very clean and had everything we required. Great location on the shore road and right next door to The Lamlash Bay hotel and 2 minutes walk to the shop for food.
It is in a brilliant position. It is comfy and spacious ,clean and bright, and the staff at the adjoining hotel are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good as was the WiFi reception.
