Great, pub in an amazing spot on he side of Esk valley. Welcoming and helpful staff. We were cyclists and docked a point for no lock up,but we coukd lock the bikes outside at the rear of the pub. Beer and evening meal excellent and its obviously a popular place- pretty busy even on a random Thursday.

the location was superb. The room was impressive with a confortable bed and excellent facilities which compensated the lack of 'garden views'. The breakfast was fine, although the 'full breakfast' could have offered a bit more. The poached eggs were at times like boiled eggs..overall a good selection of fresh fruit, lovely croissants and cereals

Good location for walking, meals were excellent with a good choice, breakfast very good and sets you up for a days walking. Room was comfortable and clean, had everything you need for a good stay.
