Great Shopping and Greater Nightlife
Multicultural Leicester has a vibrant feel, partly due to the large student population of De Montfort and Leicester universities. The latter lines Victoria Park, whereas Abbey Park covers both banks of the River Soar and houses ruins of a 12th-century abbey that was the burial site of Cardinal Wolsey.
Richard III was also buried in the city and a commemorative statue sits in Castle Gardens, by the Newarke Houses Museum and St Mary de Castro Church. St Nicholas Church overlooks the Jewry Wall Roman bath remains, while the tall-spired cathedral is next to the half-timbered, medieval guildhall.
Nearby are the Highcross and Haymarket shopping centres, as well as Leicester Market – Europe’s largest outdoor covered market. The city centre is packed with restaurants and bars, and the Golden Mile of Belgrave Road has a wealth of curry houses and jewellery stores. It also hosts the largest Diwali celebrations outside India.
Other entertainment venues are Upper Brown Street and the futuristic-looking Curve Theatre. Equally modern in design is the National Space Centre, while the National Gas Museum is near King Power Stadium, home of Leicester City FC. Leicestershire Golf Course is one of 8 surrounding the city.

Leicester is a vibrant place, outstanding for the great mix of races and cultures that happily coexist in the city. There is so much to do and see, we enjoyed the New Walk Museum, Mexican fiesta in Silver Street and a wonderful authentic Turkish meal at Nazar in Evington Village this visit. Visit the Cathedral, King Richard visitor center. If you like ethnic food then you will find nowhere in UK more diverse. Visit the beautiful countryside, Bradgate Park and Foxton Locks. Do a walking tour of the City, a lot of history here. Like any inner City, stay away from downtown at night if you're on your own.

I have been to this hotel many times and enjoyed friendly team of all the staffs and the choices of breakfast.inclusive of the the comfort of the room. As the kitchen and other areas were in process of improvement. Having vegetarian diet I enjoyed and highly recommend South Indian food and friendly staff. There is also Bhojalram Sweet mart where I do my delicious take away savoury & sweet dishes purchase.

Leicester is somewhere I would definitely return too. The people I met were friendly, helpful and polite. The shopping area had many shops to visit and catered for my needs. I wasn't able to visit more of the town ,due to length of my stay. The one negative, there wasn't a bus that goes to the train station.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Lovely city with interesting attractions ,everything is walkable distance or easy access by public transport so great with kids. We went to the space centre which we loved with the kids. We also went to the Ninja Warrior UK experience ,my boys liked it. Another attraction which we managed to visit was the King Richard III Visitor Centre which was very nice and interesting. Turned up check in at 3 codehad changed for main door contact number no one would answer after 1hour of being stood outside managed to speak to someone they said sorry I’m on holiday and there’s buildings in there at moment just knock the door spoke to them they said we will be 10 minutes two hours later they rung me and said sorry door is not fixed so forced to stay there was a sheet on the bed that didn’t fit and holes in mattress shower didn’t work properly just trickled out and on the second day I was resting in bed with my wife and cleaners were try to get in front door I told them I had booked till next day all they said sorry he’s on holiday well this was my break away to later that evening had a text saying sorry from landlord he was on holiday and on my next stay he would knock 50 percent of next stay I would never stay there again it ruined my break worst place I’ve ever stayed and i paid 90 pound per night

It was very close to walk there or go by car and also very close to the city centre to walk there. The breakfast was included in our price. Great selection of very nice hot and cold breakfast food and an impressive range of fruit was also on offer. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. A good experience. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Parking free and straightforward.

Washing machine and cooking oven/ stove made a difference. Location is good, near city centre and easy (ish) to get out of leicester in the motorway. Took me 15 mins apx. Parking is available but it’s pay and display! Nearly got a fine as you have to add more 07:30am. Via pay by phone app. So set your alarm and make sure this is sorted otherwise ticket hawks will be out.
