Central location on a very wet day and helpful staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Loved the breakfast hamper with fruit,bread and eggs, etc, so we could prepare our own breakfast or snack. Precise information on how to access the property upon arrival and great advice on local pubs and attractions.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Travelling with my son & our 2 dogs this suited our needs perfectly. The grounds of the hotel were more than adequate to walk the dogs round & the room sizes were fantastic. We were blessed with the weather so sat out in the garden & enjoyed food & drinks from the bar. Would absolutely stay again.

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace!
You must visit the Linlithgow Palace! The streets in Linlithgow are walkable, so that's nice. Be aware whenever you are anywhere in Scotland on a Monday, restaurants and shops may be closed (I ran into this all over each Monday). Otherwise, Linlithgow is a quaint town with rich history. Go!

It's such a pretty town with a wonderful palace with loch that has a great walk around it. Lots of birds to see. Great shops along the high street. Easy to get on train to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Unfortunately the magnificent Palace was closed for repairs...
Unfortunately the magnificent Palace was closed for repairs but the loch, town and canal were as lovely as ever. I have previously stayed in Linlithgow and remember it well from my boyhood in Edinburgh. The glorious cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are quickly reached by train but Linlithgow is of course well worth visiting in its own right. You will soon find your own favourite cafes and restaurants and remember the unique sound of car tyres on cobbled streets! So get your morninng rolls and come here. Enjoy.

A great place to enjoy walking around and to follow the trails offered. The Palace and the Peel, the loch and the pavement cafes were our favourites. We had some take-away and also a meal in the Star and Garter but there was really so much choice of eating places it depended on how busy it was at certain times. Unfortunately, the Palace was undergoing some building work so was not open. It is worth walking up to see the Union Canal basin, all run by volunteers. We found a wonderful supply of super ingredients for breakfast in the fridge. It was great to have so much space on our last day in Scotland. I would recommend this accommodation to everybody!! The beds were comfy and we had two bathrooms, a kitchen and two bedrooms. The location is brilliant and we loved being in the countryside away from the noise. Exceptional is an over-used word, but not for this place. The space, cleanliness, facilities, “welcome” basket (breakfast and fruit), location, accommodating and friendly staff… I challenge anyone to find better. The property is lovely, and well-located about a 7-minute drive from the heart of Linlithgow. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and extremely well-appointed. Lots of thought went into the details, from the very comfortable bed to the quality of the toiletries. The hosts are very accommodating, and the breakfasts are truly outstanding. Given the quality of the property, the price is very reasonable.

The sheperd's hut and the location was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower was spacious and worked really well. The hosts made us feel welcome, we had fresh eggs, milk, croissants and jam waiting for us upon arrival. It is centrally located and can be used as a hub going to Edinburgh, Stirling and all the other many sights in the Linlithgow area. We can definitely recommend the sheperd's hut.

The bus stop to Edinburgh is on the main road in front of the apartment complex and it’s also easy to get into nearby Linlithgow town. We needed to use the sofa bed and Toni kindly set that up prior to our arrival. We were just in Linlithgow for a long weekend, but I would also stay in this property for a longer stay to explore and enjoy the surrounding area further. All in all the apartment fully met our expectations and was good value for money.
