First class, quiet valley stop. Beautiful setting. Top quality staff. Even better when the Llangollen staff are in charge. Edged the breakfast layout. Discursive and welcoming. Good place. Rooms where clean and compact. Very good makeover on a traditional welsh valley building.
The Mulberry Inn is located in the quiet rural setting of Llwynmawr village in the beautiful Ceiriog Valley.

Lovely, very helpful staff, comfortable rooms and delicious food both evening meal and breakfast. Thoughtful little touches like complimentary sherry and shortbread in the room. We saw that there were board games and books to borrow - just wish we had had more time there to enjoy the lovely garden.
On the Shropshire and Welsh border hills, this peaceful country house sits in delightful English countryside, and has held 2 AA Rosettes for food quality for over 10 years.

Booked and paid in advance and turned up to find out the hotel was full with no room available for us to stay in.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. The locals are so friendly. Very comfy bed
We went for breakfast at the cafe a couple of mins walk away and it was very nice and the lady that runs it was lovely! We visited Pistyll Rhaeadr, which was only a 12min drive away. Sarah has brilliant communication. Would definitely recommend

The cottage is spacious, comfortable and we really liked the village. The bedrooms are in different floors and each has a dedicated bathroom. Our host was very responsive, even when we checked in late in the evening and struggled to find the place in the dark. She made great recommendations for nearby points of interest. The village is so lovely and we enjoyed walking around. The entire experience was great and I do recommend it!

A beautiful valley and interesting, picturesque towns and villages nearby.
The Hand is a superb pub/hotel. The food is exceptional and the real ale and wine of high quality.
My comments about reception do not relate to the friendly and welcoming staff who made checking-in a helpful experience, but to the complicated payment arrangements booking.com have in place for stays at the hotel.

We didn't venture out of the Hotel as we arrived late afternoon and left after breakfast. That said, what could be seen of the countryside was stunning and there was talk about fabulous walks to experience. It is hidden away which is just perfect for us. The West Arms Hotel was the most wonderful place to stay. The interior, the atmosphere, the service, the warm welcome, the quality of everything it had to offer was excellent.

Llanarmon D C is a little remote hamlet in a beautiful setting. There aren't any shops but it does have two cracking pub / hotels - be prepared. it's hard to beat if you enjoy the open air and comfortable traditional accommodation and good food.

Beautiful valley village but a nightmare to drive into and out of !
Nearest place with any form of life is at least 20 mins away through lanes and that's assuming you take the right turnings, don't get lost and end up in farmers fields. :)

Outstanding views all around you.
Outstanding views all around you. The most beautiful countryside I have ever seen! Very friendly locals. Amazing walks along various footpaths, although as it's very hilly you need to be reasonably fit and sure footed for these walks. The Hand Hotel and restaurant does delicious gourmet good and it is a spar too!

They say you should breakfast like a king and you certainly can here! Great choice and the hotel happily refrigerated the lactose-free milk I brought with me. Nerys was wonderful! The hot tub was amazing- what a way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Beds were so comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated.
Bar area was cosy and staff were helpful and friendly. We ate dinner in the dining room both nights and really enjoyed the food and service- many thanks.
Arriving later than planned, i was met by a very friendly member of staff, who carried my bag upstairs for me, after serving me a drink from the bar. The room was very clean, warm and comfy with a lovely big bed. The bathroom was beautifully cleaned and equipped with a lovely selection of toiletries. Having stayed at quite a lot of hotels for both business and pleasure The Hand was one of the best to date and I would highly recommend.
Every single aspect of The hand is exceptional... the location and surroundings are utterly jaw dropping. Our room was perfect. The bed was far more comfy than my own! The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were all friendly and professional, and the food was, quite simply, the best I've ever had, in any pub or hotel...
A very warm welcome by Mark and Nicky. Very attentive and lovely dinner in the evening and breakfast the following morning. I would have loved to stayed longer to explore the surrounding area, but will definitely keep this hotel and Mark and Nicky in mind for future return visits.
