We had a feature room which was furnished in period style and was right up our street. the four poster bed was very comfortable, the tea ,coffee and biscuits were good, the views from the room were beautiful. the bathroom was spacious and clean. the receptionist was brilliant, she was so friendly and informative and actually really enhanced the stay. we did not eat at the hotel so cant comment on food. the building and surroundings were lovely, lots of wildlife.

Would highly recommend - very modern and airy - close to the Flamingo Land. Large spacious accommodation and if I am honest - best lodge we have ever stayed in.
This charming, vine-covered country house offers boutique-style accommodation surrounded by private grounds. Just 30 minutes’ drive from central York, it has its own tennis court.

A beautiful town with lots of quirky independent shops, an amazing food market and market. I love it and would love to live here. Easy to reach both the coast and York from here so an ideal place to stay for a holiday.

Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes.
Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes. Leonis coffee shop was one of many excellent places to eat/drink. Captain Barneys provides great facilities for the younger members, especially if the weather is not ideal. Free parking for 2 hours in the market place area - good luck finding a free space, but there is a large car park 5 minutes from the centre of Malton - prices not ridiculous.

It was nice to have streets not taken up with many charity shops which seems to be the trend in other areas.
Plenty of places to eat as long as you don't leave it too late.
People are very warm and welcoming.
Electric vehicle owners beware. Although some charge points are available they are scarce and had to charge in the evening to ensure enough charge for the next. Being in a rural area, having more charge points would have taken some of the extra planning and anxiety away and made the visit totally enjoyable.
Went to the market but only 3 stalls set up. I suppose that's a reflection of today's economy.
Overall, we loved Malton and will use it has a base to visit other areas of North Yorkshire

Unfortunately leaving was the best part.
Unfortunately leaving was the best part. It was very expensive for what you got. The room was vintage as expected but the shower ceiling was black with mould and triggered my Asthma with the smell. My wife wouldn’t shower due to the smell. The staff were miserable and did what they needed to but no more.
Only told three days earlier that Xmas parties were on so no Kithchen on night we were there. No time to change venue as all booked up. I am sure they new well in advance about the parties, I booked well earlier so not happy at last minute warning.

Had a lovely one night stay in Malton.
Had a lovely one night stay in Malton. We went as it is known for food and we have a great meal in Omni. The photos online really do not do the restaurant justice as it really is a stylish interior. The atmosphere was inviting with good music which was at a level that did not inhibit chat.
We also had a delicious lunch at the Malton Relish and a great brunch at Lutt & Turner. We also purchased some takeaway pastries and cakes from The Purple Carrot for our journey which we really enjoyed. We also bought a fabulous rye bread from the Bluebird Bakery which I throughly recommend. Malton was very easy to walk around and we plan to go back.

Malton is a small market Town with a number of Bars and restaurants to cater for all needs. Be advised that some places do not open Monday-Tuesday and sometimes Wednesdays. Close by is Eden Camp which is a former prisoner of war camp which is now a museum. To make good use of the camp you will need around 3-4 Hours of viewing.
The host was very accommodating with our early arrival and technical difficulties receiving self check in information, explaining over the phone and following it up with a text message. The room was perfect for our weeks holiday and was in central location that made visiting places in the area easy including catching the train to York for a day trip. We didn't need to use it but there was a store room with essential supplies for us to help ourselves to during our stay.
Rhonwen (owner and host) was extremely welcoming and friendly. She met us on our arrival and talked us through the cottage's amenities and rooms. The cottage was decorated tastefully; rooms were well-equipped and comfortable. We had no qualms with anything and would heartily recommend the cottage as a base for anyone looking to explore what Northern Yorkshire has to offer.
The hotel was tucked away in a nice quiet part a few miles outside Malton, the grounds and building were lovely and inside didn’t disappoint, lovely decor all around! Our room was lovely with some really nice touches! Dinner, breakfast and service were outstanding!
Great location at the top of the hill above Malton. The Tudor building was sensational, and although our rooms were in the separate location a few streets away, we loved the Old Lodge. The bar and restaurant were great and we really enjoyed our time there.
I really liked the property, it was really clean, well equipped and comfortable, home from home like feel to it. Location was brilliant for sightseeing places like the Yorkshire moors, Whitby and York. Hot tub was great and the lodge was really spacious.
Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Parking for one car was ideal. Area was great Castle Howard, Eden camp and North York Moors railway near by. Malton itself great for eating out. All in All a great location.
The food was excellent. Very good service from checking in to checking out. The grounds at the back of the hotel were amazing, with some shady spots to sit out of the sun. We will definitely return. Great location for the town
this inn was perfect. the staff was so accommodating, the food was delicious, the room was quiet and comfortable. it is about 10 minutes from Malton, 20 minutes from Pickering, right in the middle of beautiful farm country.
Fantastic hotel in the centre of Malton in large grounds. I happened to mention I was celebrating my 70th birthday whilst there and the staff made our stay so memorable. Food was excellent and a good wine list.
A very comfortable and friendly small hotel in a beautiful setting.
The room had comfy beds and all the extra touches that made our stay so enjoyable.
A fresh and tasty breakfast.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Great property, very clean, excellent VERY secure dog friendly garden. Good location for visiting east coast, and North Yorkshire. Although literally next to the A64, the road noise was barely noticeable.
Cozy hotel with nich garden patio and wąsy to walk in Malton. I like historical buildings. My stay was very enjoyable. Easy to walk from the train station to the hotel. Good connection to York.
