Often stay here when visiting Chester. Great location 5 minute walk to centre. Free car park with security. Staff are very friendly. You can now help yourself to free tea and coffee any time during your stay from the dining area which is a nice touch. They provide gluten free toast if required. We had a twin room which we requested and it was clean good facilities and quiet. Comfy beds. A good value hotel 😀

Breakfast delicious - varied choice of hot and cold. Coffee was great, service great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location ideal and parking couldn't have been simpler - the hotel has a good set up with local car park which made it easy to use and cost effective. The bar/lounge area is a pleasant place to sit and have a drink. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but it appeared popular. The hotel itself is located near to many restaurants etc. Rooms very comfortable, clean and stocked daily with complementary soft drinks which was lovely.
This independent family-owned hotel provides a peaceful location just outside Chester's historic centre, yet only a 10-minute walk away from the city centre’s amenities and attractions.

Everything was amazing ! Nothing was too much trouble, James was excellent, as was Grace & all the other staff. Shout out to the cleaners too. Food was excellent. We were accommodated for a wonderful Sunday lunch at short notice. A shame it’s a 4 hour drive away, or we would be regular visitors.
Fantastic service from beginning to end. Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities - the food was amazing as were the spa facilities and the cleanliness was second to none. I have already booked again. Fabulous weekend!

Great pet friendly hotel in good location.
Great pet friendly hotel in good location. Comfy beds and nice rooms. Good spa facilities and nice bar for lunch and evening meal. Breakfast was a little limited as the food wasn’t refreshed but think this was due to a lack of staff. Check out was slow but there was an issue with other customers that caused the delay. Would stay again as fabulous for dogs.

The staff were very good and attentive.
The staff were very good and attentive. The hotel description of the rooms is different from booking.com as they describe as economy rather than standard alas over £200 for a Saturday you should expect better than very basic. No sleep on our 1st night as every creak from above could be heard. Moved rooms even worse put over toilet block so could hear the hand dryer every time it was used. Eventually moved to decent room late at night and slept

The garden was beautiful, but the experience overall was disappointing. No tables clearwd at breakfast , not attentive . Young bar staff, no knowledge of the drinks .spa , no bathrobes, basic room , no mini bar or room service . Beautiful house and gardens but service lackingd attention , spa had children in it and was not relaxing . Food was good.
I'm rarely impressed by hotels but the Grosvenor really stood out as a great hotel. Staff very friendly. Sadly not time to use the spa but it looks great. Room was spacious, comfortable and had everything I needed. The coffee in the room used coffee bags - very nice coffee. I would definitely visit again but arrive earlier to take advantage of the spa.
Gorgeous hotel, we had a perfect stay, the room was lovely, everything we needed and super clean breakfast was also a big hit.
We stayed for a wedding at the venue but would absolutely love to return an make use of the spa facilities.
Almost everything except for minor issue as below . It was a stunning beautiful spa hotel and the whole stay from start to finish was amazing . It was my 50th birthday that I will never forget ❤️
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly . I asked to be allowed access to my room early due to attending a friend's wedding and my room was ready for my arrival.
Generous sized rooms, well furnished, and this was true throughout all the rooms of the hotel. Lovely breakfast. Nice pool. Small gym but decently equipped
